Services Offered
As a mobile home park, Monterey Manor Mobilehome Estates would typically provide a standard set of services essential for comfortable manufactured home living. Based on common industry practices and general expectations, residents can anticipate:
- Utility Hookups: Each mobile home lot is generally equipped with essential connections for water, electricity, and sewer services, forming the basic infrastructure required for a functional home.
- On-site Management: The park has a manager, as evidenced by resident feedback. An on-site management presence is responsible for overseeing park operations, enforcing rules, and acting as a point of contact for resident inquiries and concerns, even if, in this instance, there are significant reported issues with the current management.
- Common Area Maintenance: While specific conditions are debated by residents, a mobile home park is expected to maintain its common areas, such as internal roads and shared grounds, to a reasonable standard.
- Waste Management: Provision for regular trash collection and waste disposal services for all residents is a standard offering in most communities.
- Pet Policy: Publicly available information indicates a pet policy, allowing "one domestic pet" (dog, cat, bird, etc.) without written permission, subject to conditions that the pet must not cause nuisance or deterioration to the environment. Requests for more than one pet or other animal types require written permission.
Features / Highlights
Based on the provided customer reviews, here are the explicit and implicit features and highlights of Monterey Manor Mobilehome Estates, including significant areas of concern raised by residents:
- Community Living: The park offers a setting for mobile home living, implying a distinct community environment. One review notes, "It's nice living here," suggesting a foundational level of comfort for some residents.
- Presence of Pets: The park has a pet policy that allows at least one domestic pet, indicating it's generally a pet-friendly environment. However, significant concerns are raised about selective enforcement of pet rules, with residents observing "cats roaming around free all over" while dog owners face complaints. This suggests a disparity in rule application.
- Management Issues (Significant Concern): This is the most prominent feature highlighted in the reviews, but in a negative light. The manager is repeatedly described in highly critical terms ("a B," "pieces of dookie," "very rude," "discriminates," "not qualified," "no manners," "completely out of her depth"). This indicates a profound dissatisfaction with current management.
- Lack of Privacy: A severe highlight of concern is the manager reportedly walking into homes "without even knocking," leading to strong accusations of disrespect for residents' privacy ("does not give the right to completely disrespect our privacy"). This is a serious allegation that points to a potential violation of resident rights.
- Selective Rule Enforcement: The disparity in how pet rules are applied (strict on dogs, lenient on cats) is a critical highlight, demonstrating perceived favoritism or inconsistent management practices.
- Resident Frustration and Action: Residents express severe frustration, stating intentions to "take this further and put a full complaint on her" and urging the owner to "look into it!" and for a "change of manager." This indicates a deep-seated and widespread issue impacting the living experience.
- Potential for Improvement: Despite the issues, the underlying sentiment "This place would be amazing if it had a different manager" suggests that the physical park itself may hold potential, if management issues are addressed.

Conclusion: Why This Place May (or May Not) Be Suitable for Locals
For Californians considering a mobile home park in Montclair, Monterey Manor Mobilehome Estates presents a nuanced picture where its inherent location advantages are currently overshadowed by significant concerns regarding management and resident experience.
From a practical standpoint, the park’s location in Montclair offers undeniable benefits. Its proximity to major freeways like the I-10 and CA-60 provides convenient access to a wide array of job markets, entertainment, and amenities across Southern California. For locals seeking a residential option within the Inland Empire that offers connectivity, the Montclair address is a strong point. The presence of a pet policy, allowing domestic animals, is also generally a positive for many Californian households.
However, the overwhelming and consistent negative feedback regarding the current management is a critical factor that severely impacts the park's suitability for new residents. Allegations of disrespect for privacy, discrimination, rude behavior, and selective enforcement of rules are serious issues that directly affect the daily well-being and legal rights of residents. The reported lack of action from the owners, despite resident complaints, suggests a systemic issue that prospective residents should deeply consider. While the physical location offers convenience, the current management situation, as described by residents, points to a potentially challenging living environment.
Therefore, for Californians evaluating Monterey Manor Mobilehome Estates, it is essential to prioritize understanding the current living conditions, particularly concerning management conduct and adherence to privacy and community rules. While the underlying park and its location hold potential, the very strong and consistent negative sentiment from multiple residents suggests that, in its current state, it might not be suitable for those who prioritize respectful management, consistent rule enforcement, and a harmonious living environment. Prospective residents are strongly advised to investigate these concerns thoroughly before making any commitments.

Monterey Manor Mobilehome Estates Reviews
If i can give this place 0 stars i would, the manager of this place is a B, she needs to be replaced asap and this place doesn’t seem to do anything about her. She discriminates many of these people living here, she walks in without even knocking, you may be the manager but that does not give the right to completely disrespect our privacy. This place is also not pet friendly unless she likes you, she complains about a dog “barking” but they’re the ones who make the dog bark yet there’s cats roaming around free all over, why not control the cats just how you try to with the dogs, I’m severely allergic to cats and they’re always in MY yard. This place would be amazing if it had a different manager, I’m planning on taking this further and putting a full complaint on her.
May 29, 2024 · Kimberly GuzmanIt's nice living here, but management are pieces of dookie and the owner should look into it! They are very rude amongst other things.
Jun 15, 2023 · B GI visited someone there and was impressed about how clean and green the manor is!
Sep 01, 2024 · Veronica BucioNot too expensive land rental but very poor management team. If you can live through their ineptitude policies then fairly don't place to stay
Sep 04, 2020 · Kenaje DamntaThe pool hours are ridiculous they say the pool closes at 9 Sunday through Thursday and at 10 Friday and Saturday but from what I experienced they kick you out when ever they feel like they wanna close the pool and they aren't even respectful doing it as well they don't give you time to dry off or rinse yourself off
