Misty Mountains Park Reviews
Never would I recommend this place. Park is run down and owner has yet to return my $500 that he agreed to. To start with the park is overgrown with tall grass and everytime it rains it floods and is a mudhole. Owner (Bob) has some sketchy characters that “work” for him. Push mowing 2ft tall grass. The site next to me was leaking water from their spigot which the owner knew prior to me arriving. They attempted to fix it to no avail and it still flooded my site with a nice muddy hole next to my door. Trash was always overflowing the dumpster as well. Now onto the owner, I reserved a spot close to a month prior to arriving, I paid $350 for the remainder of May and $700 as my last months rent to hold a long term spot all paid prior to me arriving, so even if I left, technically May was my first and last month, so theoretically, he should still owe $350 back. I saw the kind of condition the park was in and decided to leave after a week and a half. Contacted the owner and told him I was leaving and he asked me what a fair refund in my opinion would be. I told him since it was a short notice I’d just take $500 back and he could keep $550. Remind you I only stayed a week and a half. Owner said that was fair to him and he’d get it refunded. Long story short I’ve yet to receive my refund after getting the run around for 3 weeks. I told the owner that I needed my money and was more than generous giving him 3 weeks to return it. Now he tells me I have to sue him. On top of that, while I was staying there a lady had a problem with the laundromat and told the owner about it and he proceeded to yell at her for bringing up the issue. Thought for $700 and all the good reviews I was going to stay the rest of the year but stay at your own risk. Text messages as proof below.
Jun 17, 2025 · RaeWe had a great time just relaxing by the campfire! Bob is the owner and he was very accommodating and stopped whenever we were outside to make sure we had everything we needed. It is a no frills campground but that was what we wanted - a place to decompress, get together with our friends who also camped there with us and have an epic bonfire!
May 27, 2025 · Dawn HoffmannLawn hasn’t been mowed yet this summer 2025 it’s about 10 inches tall. The roads are nothing but mud. The dumpster is ALWAys over flowing and blowing trash all over the neighborhood. There are more arrest in this campground than you can even imagine.
May 07, 2025 · Mark WilliamsonWe needed a spot with great views of the sky to work online. This place is great! Our site looks out on a beautiful pond. Super staff. Huge and flat space for our class a. Oh yea, super larger dog run area. Right off highway and easy in and out for larger rigs. Would recommend for quick overnight stop or longer term.
Aug 09, 2024 · Erik CocksNice quiet little rv park. We called and spoke with Bob, the owner. He said to just drive in, pick a spot and go online to pay. Well, before we could do that, his “Trusty, obedient servant”, Paul, was there at our truck window to help. Such a nice and patient guy! We checked out a couple spots for level because we didn’t want to unhitch the trailer. We were just there for the night passing through and it was an easy hop back on the highway. Thanks, Bob and Paul!
