Mirabel RV Park & Campground offers a versatile outdoor experience, catering to a wide array of preferences, from long-term RV residents to weekend tent campers. What sets Mirabel apart is its dual nature and thoughtful layout. The property is distinctly divided, featuring an upper section primarily for RVs, including spaces for permanent residents, and a lower "Grove" section dedicated to tent camping and smaller trailers, nestled among towering Redwood trees. This thoughtful separation ensures that each type of camper can enjoy an environment tailored to their needs, whether it's the convenience of full hookups for an RV or the rustic charm of a tent site by a creek.
The essence of Mirabel lies in its direct and easy access to the Russian River, a major draw for visitors to this region. This immediate proximity to the river opens up a world of water-based activities, making it a true paradise for those who enjoy swimming, floating, or simply relaxing by the water's edge. The campground's design, with spacious sections and a focus on nature, ensures that despite its popularity, visitors often find a sense of uncrowded tranquility. Whether you're planning a family vacation, a solo adventure, or a peaceful retreat with friends, Mirabel RV Park & Campground provides a welcoming and scenic base from which to explore the myriad attractions of Sonoma County and the Russian River Valley.
Mirabel RV Park & Campground boasts an enviable location at 8400 River Rd, Forestville, CA 95436, USA. This address places it squarely in the heart of Sonoma County's renowned Russian River Valley, an area celebrated for its natural beauty, vibrant wine country, and charming small towns.
For California residents, Mirabel's accessibility is a significant advantage. Forestville is conveniently situated off River Road, a scenic route that parallels the Russian River. From major metropolitan areas like the San Francisco Bay Area, the drive is straightforward. Typically, visitors would take Highway 101 north to the Santa Rosa area, then exit onto River Road, heading west towards Forestville and Guerneville. The journey itself is part of the experience, transitioning from urban landscapes to rolling vineyards and eventually to the lush, forested river corridor.
The campground's direct access to the Russian River is one of its most compelling features, allowing campers to easily stroll from their site to the water's edge. Furthermore, its location provides a perfect launching point for exploring the wider Sonoma County region. Nearby towns like Guerneville, with its quaint shops and eateries, and Monte Rio, offering additional river access points, are just a short drive away. Mirabel RV Park & Campground Reviews
First part of this land is permeant residence (trail park) but the camping area is near by , each section is very spacious not crowded. Direct access to the Russian river , water is murky but after 10 min of floating the water current picks up & you end up at Steelhead Beach after 26 min of loafing. You can easily walk back to camp in 12 min. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Showers had good pressure and hot water, toilets were clean.
Jun 25, 2024 · Brittany NjissangA wonderful surprise of a campground! This place is divided into two spaces. One is the upper level where RVs are parked in people live in them, there is a side section set up for camping and the spaces have numbers. The other place is down below and it's a grove of Redwood trees and it's just for tent camping or small trailers. (This place is called the club) The sites here are labeled with letters. We stayed in campsite S which was small but pleasantly perfect. Each campsite in the Grove has a fire pit a picnic table and seem to be close to a power outlet. There was also a water tap right at our site. The Grove is next to a little creek where they sometimes have canoes that you can rent from the site and canoe out to the river. The canoes were not up and running when we stayed. We drank our coffee in the sunshine by the creek and listened to all the birdsong. Overall, a lovely surprise to have a camping getaway on the Russian river without too much planning.
Jun 16, 2024 · Malia LytleWe were lucky to have found the Russian River Campground. What a blessing. The best team, clean showers, great trails, the space is nice. The location is near the shopping center in Windsor, champagne cellars, Armstrong Grove Redwood trees, and of course, the gorgeous Russian River. We are so thankful to have stayed there. The beach is thirty minutes away in Jenner, California.
Aug 23, 2023 · American LoverThese pictures were from the 4th of July. The staff is very sweet and friendly and the campsites in the club area are very nice. With the campsites up top you have a trail down to the river where you can swim and enjoy the water. When we went the water was low in parts so we were able to walk upstream and float on our tubes back to the camping area. Over all I recommend coming here if you are looking for a spot to camp!
Mar 11, 2022 · Alissa GiavannaGreat front desk management. I came in as a single kayaker and was turned away from Burke's Canoes. After 43 years I was excluded for being a single women on open waters. I offered to go with another group and he stated we don't have anyone. I left and went next door where they took amazing care of me. Showed me a map, gave me very good instructions to stay safe, and gave me a ride down to the water. They exuded customer service! Will return here for all my families camping and canoeing needs. After 43 years of up the street I have a lifetime to support this business. The liven family that takes care of the place is just just so pleasant. Her boys were super helpful with the business and looked out for Momma Bear. Love happy accidents. Recommend this place to anyone coming to the russian river! And it was only 20$$$ for the day use!!
