Lone Star RV Park is located at 134 Lone Mountain Boat Dock Ln, Tazewell, TN 37879, USA. This address places it in a tranquil, natural setting in rural Tennessee, particularly appealing to those looking to enjoy the serene environment near Norris Lake. For Tennessee residents, accessing Tazewell is generally a manageable drive, positioning the park as a viable option for a local getaway without venturing too far from home.
It is important for potential visitors to note the nature of the access road. As described by one reviewer, the journey involves "travel miles on a very narrow road to get to it," which can be "harrowing with our 40' 5er." While the campground's internal roads are paved, they are also noted as "very narrow, with a huge drop off on the sides in places." This information is crucial for those driving larger rigs, as it suggests a need for careful navigation. Despite the challenging access road, the park's proximity to Norris Lake is a significant draw, offering potential for water activities and scenic views. The park’s secluded feel, once accessed, contributes to a peaceful environment, though it means being somewhat removed from immediate urban conveniences. This blend of remote, natural surroundings with a slightly challenging, but navigable, access route makes Lone Star RV Park a particular fit for those Tennesseans who prioritize a quiet, lakeside-adjacent setting and are comfortable with careful driving.

- Expert Parking Assistance: For those with large 40-foot 5th wheels, the availability of expert help for parking is a valuable and highly appreciated feature.

- Site Aesthetics: Some reviews mention that "most of the sites (not the campers) are 'trashy' looking - LOTS of debris, especially at the back of the park," indicating that while individual campers maintain their sites, the overall neatness of common areas or unoccupied sites might vary.

Lone Star RV Park Reviews
Very friendly & helpful staff (owners?). Kevin even expertly parked our rig for us. I felt safe, and would stay there again.Had to travel miles on a very narrow road to get to it (was harrowing with our 40' 5er!). 99% of the sites have permanent residents, with a healthy mixture of old & new campers. However, most of the sites (not the campers) are "trashy" looking - LOTS of debris, especially at the back of the park. The CG's roads are paved, but very narrow, with a huge drop off on the sides in places.

Mar 27, 2025 · Trey BensonThey don't fix anything and when you contact them they still don't fix whatever it is that is messed up like your meter or the septic system. I have lived here for a year and they still haven't fixed the septic system so a lot of the time when you step outside of your camper it smells like rotting sewage especially in the summer. If I could leave a -5 star review I would. I don't recommend this place if I were you I would go elsewhere
Sep 12, 2023 · Iris MitchellThis place is awful. If you like the smell of raw sewage and living around crack heads and loud obnoxious people, then this is the place for you! Do yourself a favor and find another camp ground, because this is not the one to go to. I've been living here for a year and they don't fix or change anything. You will likely have issues with the meter and they won't fix it either.
