Levee View RV Park is strategically located at 28220 LA-405, Plaquemine, LA 70764, USA. This address places it conveniently within the Louisiana landscape, offering excellent accessibility for travelers coming from various directions. For those working in the surrounding industrial plants, the park's proximity is a significant advantage, drastically cutting down commute times. While it offers a sense of being away from the hustle and bustle, it's not so far that you feel isolated from essential services and town amenities. Plaquemine itself is a town rich in history and local charm, providing opportunities for exploration when you're not enjoying the park's facilities.
The park's location on LA-405 ensures straightforward access to major roadways, making it easy to navigate to and from the site. While the internal road around the entire campsite is gravel, which can lead to dust in dry conditions, the concrete pads for individual campers are a definite plus, offering a clean and stable foundation for your RV. It’s important for prospective visitors to be aware of the park's one-way driving system, meaning you'll drive through the entire campsite to exit. This is a minor logistical point but worth noting for planning your arrivals and departures. Overall, its location strikes a balance between convenience for local industry and accessibility to the wider Louisiana region, making it an attractive option for a diverse range of RV users.
- Concrete Pads for Campers: Each site features a level, concrete pad, providing a stable and clean foundation for your RV. This is a significant upgrade from many gravel-only sites and contributes to the overall neatness of the park.
- Electrical and Water Hookups: The park provides reliable electrical and water hookups at each site, ensuring guests have all the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay.
- Breakfast for Sale: A convenient amenity for early risers or those looking for a quick bite without leaving the park.
- Ice for Sale: Essential for keeping your perishables cold, especially during Louisiana's warm months.
- Laundry Service: While guests are not permitted to do their own laundry on-site, the management offers a laundry service, taking care of your washing needs. This is a unique service that distinguishes Levee View from many other RV parks.
- Dedicated to the Working Class: The park’s rules and atmosphere are specifically tailored to accommodate the needs of working professionals, making it an ideal long-term stay option for those on assignment in the area.
- Stellar Management: Customers consistently praise the owners and management for their friendliness, welcoming demeanor, and their hands-on approach to running the park. The manager is noted for running a "tight ship" and being readily available to assist guests.
- Well-Maintained Atmosphere: The park is known for its clean and orderly environment. The use of concrete slabs throughout the park contributes significantly to its aesthetic appeal and functionality.
- Room for Multiple Vehicles: The spacious concrete slabs offer enough room not just for your RV, but also for multiple vehicles, which is a great convenience for guests with additional transportation needs.
- Rules for Order: While rules are to be followed, they contribute to the park's peaceful and dedicated atmosphere, particularly benefiting the working-class clientele who appreciate a quiet and structured environment after a day's work.

For our fellow Louisianians, Levee View RV Park presents a compelling option for a variety of needs, whether you’re a local seeking a reliable long-term stay, a contractor on a temporary assignment, or simply exploring our beautiful state. The park’s unique blend of professionalism, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it highly suitable for the Louisiana community.
One of the most significant advantages for locals, especially those in the working class, is the park's dedication to providing a conducive environment for professionals. The management's understanding of the needs of individuals working in the nearby plants means that the park operates with rules and services that support a productive and restful stay. The concrete pads, ample parking, and reliable hookups are all designed to minimize hassle and maximize comfort, allowing you to focus on your work or relaxation.
While the monthly rent, as of June 2024, at $675.00, might be higher than some other local campgrounds, customers have consistently noted that this price reflects the superior atmosphere and amenities offered. The argument is often made that you get what you pay for – a clean, level, and well-maintained site in a professionally managed park. The stellar management, often going above and beyond to assist guests, adds significant value that justifies the cost for many. Their willingness to help and maintain a "tight ship" ensures a consistently pleasant experience for everyone.
It's also worth noting the unique laundry service offered. While you can't do your own laundry, having a service available saves time and effort, a considerable benefit for busy individuals. While the gravel road can be dusty and Wi-Fi connectivity can be inconsistent, these are often minor trade-offs when considering the overall quality of the park. The park’s policy on no refunds or prorations is something to be mindful of for long-term commitments, highlighting the importance of clear communication with management regarding your stay duration.
In essence, Levee View RV Park is not just a place to park your RV; it’s a community-oriented establishment that understands and caters to the practical needs of its guests. Its focus on professionalism, cleanliness, and dedicated service makes it a prime choice for locals seeking a dependable and comfortable RV park experience in Plaquemine. As many customers have attested, this campground shows promise for continued improvement, making it a valuable asset to our Louisiana landscape for years to come. If you're in Louisiana and looking for a top-tier RV park that prioritizes your comfort and convenience, Levee View RV Park is definitely worth considering.

Levee View RV Park Reviews
Pros: The manager runs a tight ship. She will help you if you need anything. You have a concrete pad for your camper. The site does offer breakfast and ice for sale. Also offers a laundry service. The electrical and water hookups are nice. The park is convenient to the surrounding plants and not to far from town. Cons: one way driving. When you come into the camp site, you have to drive through the entire camp site to get out of the park. If you want to do laundry, it won't be there. Management does not allow you to wash your clothes there. Road around the entire site is gravel which is a dust bowl when it's dry. Rent is a lot higher than most local campgrounds at 675.00 a month as of 6-6-24. Wifi offered works sometimes, but mostly does not. If you have to leave for some reason, management will not reimburse or prorate your money. Once in hands.....you will not be getting nothing back. No bath house at this campground. All in all, I see this campground getting better with time, like everything else.
Jun 06, 2024 · Curtis SalleyThe owners/management of this park are stellar. The price reflects the atmosphere of the park (all concrete, leveled slabs with room for multiple vehicles) and they are very friendly and welcoming. Rules are to be followed, but this park is dedicated to the working class, which makes it better. I will stay here again if I'm ever in the area.
Jun 19, 2024 · Aaron TaylorMs Jean is awesome. The park is pretty quite, more of a working man and woman’s park. Has a breakfast drive thru, they’ll wash and fold your clothes when your to busy to do it. No other amenities but that’s ok when you’re working 7 days a week 10-12 hours a day. Easy access to the plants around Plaquemine and you do t have to deal with the traffic hassle on LA-1
Aug 14, 2024 · RickThey have a cockroach infestation and refuse to acknowledge it. Also charge way more than other sites in the area for nothing extra. No poo or extra amenities for the extra cost and they won’t even let you wash your own clothes. Manager called me twice in the morning hours waking me up (I was on night shift) to tell me about really non important matters.
Aug 05, 2024 · Julissa CornelioPlace was clean and quiet. But…No bathhouse. I was encouraged to prepay two weeks to save money (discounted rate) even though I told her that I planned to be there between 8 and 11 days. Finished my job in 9 days and asked for the difference returned. She claimed she couldn’t because once she makes a deposit the bank doesn’t let her withdraw. First time that has happened to me and I’ve been doing this for 18 years. I will likely stay somewhere else when I travel to Plaquemine for work.
