RV parks are designed to offer a range of amenities and a sense of community to their residents and guests. They serve as a flexible housing solution, accommodating everything from weekend getaways to full-time RV living. The quality of an RV park is often defined by its maintenance, management responsiveness, and the overall atmosphere it cultivates. While many parks strive for a positive reputation, it's a common practice to consider all feedback, both positive and negative, to gain a comprehensive understanding of a location. For a place like Lakeside Landing RV Park, which has garnered specific public comments regarding management practices, a thorough and balanced perspective is particularly helpful for local users.
Our objective with this article is to present a clear and informative overview of Lakeside Landing RV Park. We will focus on factual aspects such as its geographic location, the services typically expected of an RV park, and a summary of public comments. By presenting this information objectively, local Texans can weigh the various factors and determine if this park aligns with their personal requirements and expectations for an RV living or temporary parking solution in the Nevada, Texas, area. Understanding both the standard offerings and any highlighted concerns is key to making a suitable choice.
Lakeside Landing RV Park is situated at 5738 Co Rd 923, Nevada, TX 75173, USA. This address places the RV park in a rural setting within the broader area of Nevada, Texas. Nevada is a small city located in southeastern Collin County, part of the rapidly growing North Texas region. Its location on a county road suggests a quieter, more secluded environment compared to urban RV parks, appealing to those who prefer a less bustling atmosphere.
The park's proximity to Lake Lavon is a notable aspect of its location, as suggested by its name "Lakeside Landing." Lake Lavon is a significant recreational hub in North Texas, offering extensive opportunities for fishing, boating, camping, and other water-based activities. For RVers who prioritize access to outdoor recreation, being near such a natural amenity can be a considerable advantage.
Despite its rural county road address, Nevada benefits from relatively good accessibility to larger population centers and essential services. While not directly on a major highway, the area is connected by state highways and county roads that lead to towns like Wylie, Royse City, and ultimately the wider Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This means that residents would typically rely on personal vehicles for transportation to reach grocery stores, medical facilities, schools, and other urban conveniences.
The balance between a peaceful, lakeside-adjacent rural setting and reasonable driving access to necessary services defines the geographic appeal of Lakeside Landing RV Park. For those seeking a quiet retreat with recreational possibilities, its location offers a distinct appeal within the North Texas landscape. However, guests should be prepared for the need to drive for most errands and services, characteristic of rural living.
While direct, detailed information on every specific service offered by Lakeside Landing RV Park is not extensively available in public domain, we can infer typical offerings based on the nature of RV parks in Texas. Standard amenities usually include core necessities for RVers:
- Full RV Hookups: Most modern RV parks, regardless of size or location, provide essential hookups at each site. This typically includes connections for water, sewer, and electricity (commonly 30 and/or 50 amp service) to ensure RVs can function comfortably.
- Individual RV Sites: The park offers designated spaces for recreational vehicles. While specific dimensions are not provided, these sites are designed to accommodate various RV sizes.
- Access to Lake Lavon: Given the park's name, it is implied or directly stated by the park's own online presence that it is "within a 2-minute walk to Pebble Beach Park on Lake Lavon." This proximity to the lake offers access to water-based activities.
- Online Payment Options: The park's website indicates options to "make a payment for your space or a reservation," suggesting an organized system for financial transactions.
- Park Rules: The presence of "Park Rules" on their website indicates a structured environment with guidelines for residents and guests, which is standard for RV communities.
However, it is crucial to address concerns raised in public reviews regarding maintenance and management responsiveness. One review specifically details issues with a "dead tree" that allegedly caused property damage, and claims of management disclaiming responsibility and attempting to evict tenants who report issues. Another review mentions a feeling of not belonging if not "from there," suggesting potential social dynamics. These are important considerations when evaluating the "services" of management and overall park environment.
Prospective residents and guests are strongly advised to contact Lakeside Landing RV Park directly to confirm current services, understand park rules, and inquire about how property maintenance and tenant concerns are addressed, especially in light of the publicly available reviews.
Based on publicly available information and customer reviews, Lakeside Landing RV Park presents a mixed set of features and highlights that prospective residents and guests should consider:
- Proximity to Lake Lavon: A primary highlight, as suggested by the name and park website, is its close walking distance to Pebble Beach Park on Lake Lavon. This offers convenient access to a popular recreational lake for fishing, boating, and enjoying the outdoors, a significant advantage for nature enthusiasts.
- Quiet and Rural Setting: Located on a county road, the park offers a tranquil environment away from the noise and activity of major urban centers. This peaceful atmosphere can be a draw for those seeking a relaxing retreat.
- Basic RV Accommodations: The park provides standard RV sites with full hookups (electricity, water, sewer), which are essential for comfortable RV living.
However, it is imperative to address significant concerns raised in customer reviews, which impact the perceived features and overall experience at the park:
- Management and Maintenance Concerns: Multiple reviews highlight serious issues with management responsiveness, particularly regarding property damage. Claims of management disclaiming responsibility for damages, attempting to make tenants sign waivers, and initiating eviction processes for those who report issues (e.g., a "dead tree" causing car damage) are significant red flags.
- Perceived Lack of Tenant Care: Reviews suggest that the owner, Craig, and the management office personnel are perceived as not caring for "tenants nor anything on his property," implying a lack of concern for resident well-being and property upkeep.
- Social Environment Concerns: One review mentions a "home grown out here if you no what u mean. Ain't from there don't belong there type stuff," which could suggest a potentially unwelcoming or cliquish social environment for new residents or those not from the immediate area.
These critical points from customer feedback present a contrasting view to typical positive highlights and are crucial for potential residents to consider alongside the park's locational advantages.

It is strongly and highly recommended to contact the park directly via phone before making any commitments. Given the significant concerns raised in public reviews regarding management practices, property damage liability, and tenant relations, a direct conversation is essential. This will allow you to ask specific questions about their policies on property maintenance, liability waivers, tenant dispute resolution, and community atmosphere. Visiting the park in person and speaking with current residents, if possible, would also be a prudent step to gain a more complete understanding of the living experience at Lakeside Landing RV Park before committing to a stay.
For locals in the Texas region, particularly those considering an RV park in the Nevada area, understanding the complete picture of Lakeside Landing RV Park is essential. On one hand, its location offers undeniable appeal; its proximity to Lake Lavon and its quiet, rural setting provide access to popular recreational opportunities and a peaceful environment away from urban congestion. For those whose primary criterion is a spot near the lake for outdoor activities, this geographical advantage might be a draw.
However, it is crucial for local Texans to carefully weigh these locational benefits against the significant and serious concerns raised in publicly available customer reviews. The accusations of unresponsive management, particularly regarding property damage (such as the reported incident with a falling tree), claims of attempting to enforce liability waivers, and alleged retaliatory actions like eviction for reporting issues, are considerable red flags. These concerns directly impact the safety, security, and overall well-being of tenants and their property, which are paramount considerations for any housing or long-term parking solution.
The feedback also hints at a potentially unwelcoming social environment for those not already established within the community, which can diminish the sense of belonging that many seek in an RV park. For locals looking for a supportive and harmonious community, these social dynamics are important to investigate further.
While the park provides basic RV hookups, the essence of a "suitable" place for locals extends beyond mere infrastructure. It encompasses reliable management, fair treatment, a safe living environment, and a positive community atmosphere. Based on the provided reviews, potential local tenants or long-term residents should proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough personal due diligence. This includes direct and detailed conversations with management about all policies, particularly those related to property damage and tenant rights, and ideally, an in-person visit to assess the current conditions and speak with other residents if opportunities arise. For locals, ensuring peace of mind and protection of their assets should be the top priority when choosing an RV park. Therefore, while the location offers recreational benefits, the management and maintenance concerns require careful consideration to determine if Lakeside Landing RV Park is truly suitable for their needs.

Lakeside Landing RV Park Reviews
Do not stay worst place to stay management plays dumb. If there property damages your rv or vehicle. They will try to make you sign a waiver that not responsible. If you do sign or not they will kick you out. Or file eviction on you. Very terrible people in the management office and Craig the owner don't care about nothing but his own self. He has no care for his tenants nor anything on his property either. So please have your kids and pets stay clear of here cause the dead tree that we and maintance made know to the office and Craig. But failed to cut down final broke and crushed my car. But even though it's neglect of maintenance on their part the tree crushing my car isn't there fault they claim no responsibility of anything that happens on there property according to Craig. So please save yourself from worst experience and or costly experience.
