High Desert RV Park Reviews
We did a cross country RV trip and this RV park was our favorite overnight stay!!! It had all the wonderful things we needed for our family of 6 plus my mom who was traveling with us as well. The bathrooms were super clean. The showers were super hot and had great water pressure. They had a great laundromat that I used to do 4 loads of laundry. They had a super cute little store that the kids really enjoyed visiting and grabbing snacks before we left. The spots we stayed in (201 and 202) were easy to pull in and out and we were able to leave our 36 ft 5th wheel hitched up. The spot was pretty level we just threw two blocks under our driver side. Also I really appreciated all the safety measures. Keypad Locked restrooms/showers and gated campgrounds so we felt safe leaving things in the back of our vehicles. We WILL stay here again when we travel through ABQ. Thank you so much!
Jul 01, 2025 · Stacy BennettWhat a cool place!!!! I called and the owner answered immediately and said she had a space available and she would even wait until I arrived (about 10 minutes after closing hours). They have fenced dog yards at each corner of the park, which was a must for my two little dogs. There wasn't any dog waste in the yards and they had tools to pick up after your dog. They were so clean and didn't smell. They had really cool metal statues dotted around the property. The office and a small cafeteria inside as well as some essentials. The entire park is fenced and even has a gate that is closed after hours. If needed, you can enter after hours with a code.I would definitely stay here again!
May 13, 2025 · Ginger BrykWe have stayed at High Desert many times due to its convenient location to I-40. The property is clean and well maintained by their friendly staff. With it being so near I-40, you might expect to hear road noise, but we have never noticed it. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip this way.
Apr 23, 2025 · N L McDonaldAdvertising says Big Rig RV friendly. We are 43’ with a tow vehicle. They are absolutely not. We are squeezing into a barely long enough space for our coach and had to unhook tow. Beware. Also lots of live in trailers and old old units. Fine for one night on the road but no more.
May 17, 2025 · Renee Bleakley CroneRight off I40. Convenient yet noisy. 15-20 minutes to town. Lady at front desk was very nice. Cool sculptures all over park.Everything is dirt so very dusty. Yes it’s the desert. Many “full timers” in park with crap everywhere around their sites. They give you a list of rules to follow when checking in, if you don’t follow them you’ll be asked to leave. All are common sense and common courtesy, yet the full timers break 1/2 of them every day and are allowed to stay. We had to look at one our whole stay (5 nights)Major turn off. Clearly park admin doesn’t care or they would address it.
