This article provides a detailed, factual overview of Green Acres Mobile Home Village, designed to help local users in Florida learn more about this established community and determine if it aligns with their living preferences.
Green Acres Mobile Home Village is more than just a collection of homes; it's a community with a history and an evolving character. As a content writer specializing in local business descriptions, our aim is to present an informative and balanced perspective, drawing directly from available public information and real customer experiences. Whether you're a long-time Florida resident seeking a new home, a snowbird looking for a seasonal retreat, or simply exploring your housing options, understanding the nuances of Green Acres Mobile Home Village will be invaluable to your decision-making process. We'll delve into its location, the services it offers, its distinct features, and what makes it a suitable, or perhaps less suitable, option for various local residents.
Green Acres Mobile Home Village is prominently located at 3100 Hallandale Beach Blvd, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009, USA. This address places the park in a highly accessible and desirable part of South Florida. Hallandale Beach Boulevard is a major east-west thoroughfare, providing residents with direct access to Interstate 95, a critical artery for North-South travel throughout Florida. This excellent connectivity means that residents can easily reach popular destinations like Fort Lauderdale to the north and Miami to the south, both renowned for their airports, cultural attractions, employment opportunities, and entertainment districts.
The park's location is particularly advantageous for those who enjoy coastal living. It is situated remarkably close to the stunning beaches of Hallandale Beach and Hollywood, allowing for convenient trips to the ocean for swimming, sunbathing, or leisurely strolls along the shore. Furthermore, residents benefit from proximity to a wide array of urban amenities. Shopping centers, supermarkets, diverse dining establishments, healthcare facilities, and entertainment venues, including Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino and Aventura Mall, are all within a short driving distance. The convenience of having "stores and everything" nearby, as one reviewer mentioned, significantly enhances the daily lives of residents. While public transportation options might be available, having personal transportation is generally recommended for maximizing the benefits of this vibrant South Florida location.
Green Acres Mobile Home Village provides essential services and amenities common to mobile home parks, designed to support its residents' lifestyle. Based on the provided information and general knowledge of such communities, key offerings typically include:
Mobile Home Lots: The core service is providing leased lots for residents to place their manufactured homes. These lots usually come with necessary utility hookups.
RV Accommodation (Limited/Conditional): While primarily a mobile home park, one review indicates that the park has, at least in the past, allowed non-55+ individuals with camping vans to stay for a few months. This suggests potential flexibility for short-term RV stays, though it would be crucial to confirm current policies directly with management, especially given its stated 55+ designation.
Community Pool: A notable amenity mentioned in a review is the presence of a pool, which was described as being "usually had the pool to myself" by a past resident. A community pool is a highly valued feature in Florida, offering a place for relaxation and recreation, especially during warmer months.
Basic Utility Access: As a standard for mobile home parks, residents typically have access to essential utilities such as water, electricity, and sewer connections for their homes. However, the review mentioning flooding issues and un-repaired pumps suggests potential inconsistencies or challenges with water management and possibly other infrastructure.
On-site Management/Office: The mention of "Sandy" being "super nice and does what she can" implies the presence of an on-site office or management staff to assist residents, although the effectiveness of overall administration is questioned in the same review.
Green Acres Mobile Home Village presents a mix of appealing features and notable concerns, as highlighted by customer experiences:
Strategic Location: Its prime location on Hallandale Beach Boulevard is a significant advantage. Proximity to the beach, major stores, and essential services is a major draw for residents seeking convenience and access to South Florida's attractions.
Community Pool: The availability of a community pool, even if occasionally underutilized, is a desirable amenity, especially in Florida’s climate. It provides a valuable recreational outlet for residents.
Chill Campground/Community Vibe (Historical): One reviewer noted a "very nice, chill campground vibe" during their stay in 2021. This suggests that, at times, the park can offer a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, conducive to a laid-back lifestyle.
Long-Term Residency: The fact that some residents have lived there for 25 years indicates a level of stability and established community for long-term homeowners, suggesting that for many, it has been a place they chose to call home for an extended period.
However, it's also crucial to address the challenges highlighted:
Management and Maintenance Concerns: A significant recurring theme is the perceived decline in management and maintenance quality. The statement "everything went downhill" after a family management left, along with issues like un-repaired pumps and frequent flooding, points to ongoing operational challenges.
Age Restriction Enforcement: Despite being advertised as a "55 and up" community, a review notes "many children around and a lot of youngsters." This suggests a potential inconsistency in adhering to or enforcing the age restriction, which could be a concern for those specifically seeking a quiet, adults-only environment.
Flooding Issues: The mention of the area getting "flooded so many times throughout the year" and un-repaired pumps is a critical concern, especially in a region prone to heavy rainfall. This directly impacts the comfort and safety of residents, particularly older individuals.
Cleanliness Concerns: While not severely negative, the comment "Facilities could've been cleaner... but they could've been worse too" indicates that cleanliness standards might fluctuate or not consistently meet high expectations.

For Florida locals, particularly those residing in or considering a move to South Florida, Green Acres Mobile Home Village presents a nuanced option for mobile home living. Its suitability largely depends on individual priorities and what one seeks in a community.
One of the most compelling aspects for locals is the park's exceptional location on Hallandale Beach Boulevard. This strategic position offers convenient access to everything that makes South Florida appealing: the beautiful beaches, a vast array of shopping and dining options, and easy commutes via major highways to Fort Lauderdale and Miami. For Floridians who value being close to urban amenities while still seeking a community environment, the geographical advantages are significant. The presence of a community pool is another definite plus, providing a popular recreational outlet especially relevant in Florida's warm climate.
Furthermore, for those seeking a dedicated 55+ community, the park's stated age restriction can be an attraction. While some reviews suggest challenges with enforcing this, the intention to create an adult-oriented environment may still appeal to many seniors looking for a quieter, more mature neighborhood. The long-term residency of some families also points to a historical capacity to foster a stable and enduring community, suggesting that under optimal management, it can indeed be a comfortable home for many years.
However, it is crucial for local prospective residents to conduct thorough due diligence. The concerns raised in reviews regarding ongoing management, maintenance issues like flooding, and inconsistent enforcement of the 55+ rule are significant. For Floridians accustomed to the challenges of managing properties in a subtropical climate, understanding the park's current infrastructure and flood mitigation efforts is essential. Therefore, for locals, Green Acres Mobile Home Village could be suitable if they are drawn to its prime location and the potential for a community lifestyle, provided they undertake a personal visit to assess the current conditions, speak with existing residents, and clarify all concerns directly with the management. This proactive approach will allow them to make an informed decision about whether Green Acres Mobile Home Village is the right fit for their Florida living aspirations.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1They let me stay in the park for a few months back in 2021 even though I'm not a 55+ senior, because it was just me in a camping van. It had a very nice, chill campground vibe when I was there. I usually had the pool to myself. The park is close to the beach, stores and everything. Facilities could've been cleaner when I was there but they could've been worse too.
January 09 · FauxindigoMy parents live there for 25 years. It was managed by a family that no longer lives there, what a shame they left and everything went downhill. Even though they seem like they are on it still a lot of things that they are not right, for a place that advertised 55 and up they are many children around and a lot of youngsters. still a very nice place I wish my parents can be there again but they're way too old to be by themselves in an area that gets flooded so many times throughout the year, they have not repaired the pump or they just don't care, I don't believe is a budget thing but idk much of the current administration. Sandy is super nice and does what she can.
September 17 · Paola NeiraVery nice place. I have lived here now for two and a half years and really have enjoyed it, however I received notification that as of this month the rent for my RV site will increase from $650 a month to $900. I was told when I moved here that I could expect a $50 a year increase which is what they have done for the last 2 years. I am 75 years old and still works full-time but I have not had a $250 a month increase in my income over the past two and a half years.
