Gibson Hill RV Park Reviews
I visited this park a year ago and it was a mess. I went by yesterday to book a long term stay, and the place looks amazing! I can't wait to attend this summer and experience all the updated features. After speaking with the Park Manager, they are making major improvements to the rec hall, the stage and the outdoor amenities such as a BRAND NEW PLAYGROUND!
Apr 23, 2025 · C FArrived to this campground with high expectations because their camping listing offers so much. I arrive told him I was checking in and he points to a random spot and says park anywhere. Doesn’t ask me for my name or reservation. I asked him if he wanted to know who I was he said no you booked online just park over there. The listing Mentions live band on weekends with food package which I paid for. The man who runs this tells me they don’t have that and the website is wrong. Contact the website for a refund. Then tells me to be careful because there’s lots of ticks here. I didn’t find any luckily. This place is a ghost town. The pool was clean, you have to be careful with the liner because it wasn’t installed correctly and you can pop it in the corners. There is no dedicated hike spot. Just pick a random spot in the woods they said. If I had to guess it’s just a bunch of older men who run this place who really don’t care because they’re retired. I will never return. False promises on the listing on hip camp listing
Aug 15, 2022 · J BI booked my stay through HipCamp. It was easy to book. We arrived to the park around midnight and pitched a tent in a random location since we couldn't find the tent site we booked. The bathroom and shower were clean enough, but there were a lot of spiders around the toilets. On our way out, we stopped by the front office to check out. The man that greeted me was very kind, and didn't mind that we had pitched our tent somewhere random. I didn't need to do anything to check out since I booked the site through HipCamp.
Jul 28, 2023 · Eve GallowayNothing like when Barry owned it.. He kept it up and always had weekend activities, the general store was always packed the rekhall was nice and clean with a pool table huge T.V .. And at the end of the season we always had a private party for the seasonals .. I even put on a haunted hay ride AR the end of the season.. Yes I worked there and helped coordinate weekend activities for the kids.. What a huge difference it's such a dump now.. He needs to sell it so people can actually enjoy it again.. Fix it up .. Hit me up if you want help or sell...
Apr 09, 2024 · Gina MinArrived, had to wait for the guy to get out of the bathroom, he came out and informed me that he had no idea we had a reservation. He explained that 'she' doesn't tell him anything. I explained that I called two weeks prior to comfirm the reservation with no answer, but left a message. He said that sounds about right with 'her'. He found a site, but it was not near being level and in fact had little hills and bumps. There would be no way to level our 5th wheel. I called another rv park and secured a site. As we were about to leave, a truck drove in, the driver looked as us and spit chew out the window at us. I told the guy that this would not work for us, he stated that he didn't blame us.This was the worst experience we ever had.
