Fir Grove Introduce
For long-term RV residents, travelers, and individuals seeking a stable, accessible location for their recreational vehicles in the heart of the Portland metropolitan area, **Fir Grove RV Park** serves a unique role. Situated in Northeast Portland, Oregon, the park provides an option for extended stays with the necessary amenities for full-time or seasonal RV living. This RV park operates as a dedicated community, often catering to those who require extended or permanent lot rental rather than short-term tourist camping.
The park is classified as a standard RV park, meaning it is set up to accommodate recreational vehicles with various hookup requirements. Key operational features include an acceptance of major payment methods like **Credit Cards and Debit Cards**, and an emphasis on accessibility with a **Wheelchair accessible entrance** and **Wheelchair accessible parking lot**. Furthermore, it is a pet-friendly community, confirming that **Dogs are allowed**, which is a significant factor for many Oregonians traveling or residing in their RVs.
However, potential residents should be fully aware of significant concerns that have been raised in community feedback. Several long-term residents have pointed to serious issues regarding the **current management**, alleging a hostile environment, manipulation, and a failure to address ongoing problems. Specific complaints center around excessive noise and pollution from residents performing unauthorized mechanical work, including muffler modification and vehicle idling. Furthermore, there are reports of management refusing to address safety issues, such as **dangerous trees with potential for severe harm**. These serious grievances, which describe a loss of a peaceful community, suggest that the management's responsiveness and attention to park rules and safety are critical areas that must be thoroughly investigated by any prospective resident before committing to a stay.
The importance of on-site verification cannot be overstated. Anyone interested in Fir Grove RV Park should directly contact management to clarify the current policies regarding noise, vehicle maintenance, and the maintenance schedule for hazardous conditions. It is essential to ensure that the living environment meets the expectations of a peaceful and safe home.
The park is committed to facilitating comfortable RV access, featuring **On-site parking** in addition to the spaces allocated for the RV units themselves. This is especially valuable in a dense urban environment like Portland where parking can be scarce. While official amenity lists from the park are limited in public view, the standard expectation for a long-term RV community is the provision of full hookups to meet the needs of residents.
Fir Grove RV Park is strategically located in Northeast Portland, offering excellent accessibility for both local Oregon residents and travelers.
Address: 5541 NE 72nd Ave., Portland, OR 97218, USA
The park's location in the 97218 ZIP code places it in close proximity to major transportation arteries and essential services:
- **Proximity to PDX:** The park is situated very near the Portland International Airport (PDX), which is highly convenient for those who travel frequently or work at the airport. The location offers quick access for incoming and outgoing travel.
- **Highway Access:** The park is positioned near I-84 and I-205, offering immediate and easy access to the greater Portland metropolitan area, Downtown Portland, the Columbia River Gorge, and connections to Vancouver, Washington. This ease of commuting is a major benefit for working Oregonians.
- **Urban Convenience:** Being within the Portland city limits provides residents with direct access to urban amenities. This includes nearby shopping centers, grocery stores, medical facilities, and various dining and entertainment options just a short drive away.
- **Regional Exploration:** The easy access to I-84 makes day trips to popular Oregon destinations like the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Mount Hood National Forest, and Central Oregon significantly more convenient for long-term residents looking to explore their home state.

- **Utilities:** Necessary utility services, such as electric, water, and sewage disposal, are provided at each site, essential for sustained RV living.
The appeal of Fir Grove RV Park for Oregon residents rests on its features that combine urban convenience with practical RV infrastructure.
Key highlights include:
- **Unbeatable Location for City Access:** The proximity to major Portland highways and the airport is a major competitive feature, making it a highly desirable base camp for those working in or frequently visiting the city.
- **Long-Term Living Focus:** The park's model appears to favor extended stays over transient tourism, fostering a more stable and potentially close-knit residential environment—though recent management issues have reportedly compromised the "community" aspect.
- **High Accessibility Standards:** The clear designation of wheelchair accessibility for entrances and parking lots is a positive feature, ensuring better access for a wider range of residents and guests.
- **Pet-Friendly Policy:** The welcoming policy towards dogs makes it an ideal choice for the many Oregonians who travel or live full-time with their pets.
- **Vehicle Accommodation:** Dedicated on-site parking helps alleviate the logistical challenges associated with owning an RV and a personal vehicle in a city environment.
The unique combination of long-term utility and urban location distinguishes Fir Grove RV Park from more remote, vacation-oriented campgrounds typically found elsewhere in Oregon.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We used to have a wonderful little community here. I would not wish the current management on my worst enemy. They will steal from you at any opportunity, manipulate any possible situation and when you bring receipts they take no accountability. I hope the owners come to their senses and remove this manager so we can have a peaceful and friendly home like we used to.
May 03 · Bird DeNaughtPeople are idling their vehicles and doing mechanical work on other people's vehicles. It's loud so much. There's even one guy who commits fraud by changing mufflers in time for inspection and puts his illegal muffler back on.He's out there every day harassing neighbors with sound and pollution. He has threatened people for asking him to please stop.Management refuses to take down dangerous trees that have the potential for severe harm.
July 26 · Willow WI'm rating 2 star bc It's a rough area of town.Crime is high. It's probably the only trailer park that will allow a trailer that's way older than 20 years old to be parked there. It's exactly across the street from a convenience store.. BUT a brand new park was built one block behind it. This is more of a last chance place to try to stay housed ( in your trailer) in this current economy if your trying to find a place to be and not end up homeless. The space rent is several hundred dollars a month there is a lot of general poverty in the immediate area. I know someone that lives there that's how I'm able to comment. It says it accepts overnighters..which it probably could accommodate..but I would exercise caution if you're an out-of-town or not familiar with the neighborhood.
November 01 · N SPeople have issues being quiet past 10pm and it sometimes continues until 3am. It wouldn't be a problem if none of us have jobs or aren't on time sensitive medication, but yeah.It doesn't matter what part of the day it is, someone is either using a saw or welding or something that makes far too much noise to be acceptable where people live close together. Then there's some neighbors who believe it is okay to run a mechanic shop from home so everyone gets to listen to the revving of cars ALL day.Certain types that live here attract a lot of police with bright lights at night, but police doesn't take nearly enough people with them when they leave, lots of DV going on.It's never truly peaceful here. I wish management would start cracking down on it, but after an incident a while back, it was made clear that they become downright abusive.
June 16 · A. F. WolfeGood price but, for the price you pay you have crazy couples yelling at one another like at 12am. Loundary room closes at 10pm👎should be 24 hour for the people who work really late. You can definitely sence their is drug smuggling and police is on site frequently. Management is meh. There's definitely better places to down size.
