For many Kansans, finding an affordable and stable living situation is a top priority. In the vibrant city of Lawrence, one option that often comes to mind for those seeking community and a more independent lifestyle is a manufactured home park. Among these, the Easy Living Manufactured Home Community stands out as an established presence, offering residents a unique approach to homeownership and community living. This article will delve into what Easy Living Manufactured Home Community provides, aiming to give you a clear, engaging, and factual overview from a local Kansas perspective.
Manufactured home communities, often referred to as mobile home parks, offer a distinct living experience. They typically provide residents with leased land on which they can place their own manufactured home, or in some cases, rent a home directly from the community. This model often presents a more affordable alternative to traditional stick-built housing, making homeownership accessible to a broader range of individuals and families. Easy Living Manufactured Home Community appears to embrace this model, aiming to provide a communal living environment within Lawrence.
The appeal of such a community often lies in its balance of individual home privacy with shared amenities and a sense of neighborhood. Residents can enjoy the benefits of owning their own home, often with a yard, while also having access to community features. As we explore Easy Living Manufactured Home Community, we'll examine its specific offerings, geographical advantages, and what potential residents in Kansas should consider when looking for a place to call home in Lawrence. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive and unbiased look at this community, helping you determine if it aligns with your housing needs and preferences.
Easy Living Manufactured Home Community is conveniently located at 3323 Iowa St, Lawrence, KS 66046, USA. This address places the community in a well-established area of Lawrence, a city renowned for its vibrant culture, educational institutions (most notably the University of Kansas), and a strong sense of local community. The positioning on Iowa Street is particularly advantageous, as Iowa Street is a major north-south thoroughfare in Lawrence, providing excellent accessibility to various parts of the city.
For residents, this means easy access to essential services and amenities. Within a short drive, individuals can reach grocery stores, retail centers, dining establishments, and healthcare facilities. The proximity to the University of Kansas also means that cultural events, sporting activities, and educational opportunities are readily available. For families, the location likely provides convenient access to local schools within the Lawrence Public Schools district.
Furthermore, Lawrence's strategic position within Kansas makes it accessible from other major cities. While not directly on an interstate, it's a short drive from I-70, connecting residents to Topeka to the west and Kansas City to the east. This accessibility is a significant benefit for commuters or those who frequently travel for work or leisure, providing a balance between a localized community feel and broader regional access. The address on a main road also suggests ease of navigation for visitors and delivery services, adding to the overall convenience of living at Easy Living Manufactured Home Community.
- Poorly maintained pool: While a pool is offered, reviews indicate it may not be consistently well-maintained.
- Tiny, outdated, and poorly maintained park: Refers to a communal green space or playground for residents.
- Basketball court that is seldom used: Suggests a recreational amenity, though its condition or utility might be limited based on resident feedback.
- Water constant shut-offs for repairs: Indicates ongoing issues with water supply and infrastructure maintenance.
It's important for prospective residents to be aware of these reported service levels, particularly regarding maintenance and utility reliability. The community appears to prioritize services for renters over homeowners, which is a significant point of concern raised by current residents who own their homes within the park.
- Community living environment: Aims to foster a neighborhood atmosphere among residents.
- Potential for homeowners to reside: Allows individuals to own their manufactured homes while leasing the land.
- Proximity to Lawrence amenities: Offers convenient access to the city's services, shopping, and entertainment.
While the community advertises itself as a place for "easy living," it's clear from resident feedback that certain aspects, particularly maintenance and responsiveness to homeowners, have caused significant stress and dissatisfaction. The emphasis on communal amenities like a pool, park, and basketball court suggests an intention to provide recreational options, but their current state, as reported by residents, may not meet expectations. The overall highlight appears to be the opportunity for affordable homeownership within the Lawrence area, but this comes with reported challenges regarding community management and upkeep.

For locals in Kansas, specifically those considering housing options in Lawrence, Easy Living Manufactured Home Community presents itself as a potential avenue for manufactured home living. The primary suitability for locals often revolves around the affordability that manufactured home communities can offer compared to traditional housing markets. In a city like Lawrence, where housing costs can be a significant consideration, the opportunity to own a home and lease land can be an attractive financial proposition for many individuals and families.
The community's location on Iowa Street is undeniably a strong point for local residents. It provides convenient access to Lawrence's schools, employment opportunities, retail establishments, and recreational venues, minimizing commute times and integrating residents into the fabric of the city. For those already living and working in Lawrence, or seeking to move into the area, this geographical advantage allows for a seamless transition into community life.
However, suitability for locals also hinges on the quality of life within the community. While the idea of a pool, park, and basketball court suggests a family-friendly environment, the consistent feedback regarding poor maintenance, frequent water shut-offs, and a perceived disparity in service for homeowners versus renters raises significant concerns. For locals, understanding that lot rent does not necessarily translate to a high level of service, especially for maintenance on owned homes, is paramount. The reported challenges with management's responsiveness, particularly concerning issues like burst pipes due to extreme weather, indicate a level of stress that potential residents must weigh against the benefits of affordability and location.
Ultimately, Easy Living Manufactured Home Community offers a pathway to homeownership in Lawrence that can be financially accessible for many Kansans. Its suitability for locals will depend heavily on individual priorities. Those seeking solely a cost-effective place to own a home in a good location might find it appealing. However, those who prioritize reliable maintenance, consistent services, and a responsive management team for their owned property may find the reported challenges a significant deterrent. Therefore, locals considering Easy Living Manufactured Home Community should conduct thorough due diligence, including direct conversations with management about all service agreements and homeowner policies, to ensure it aligns with their expectations for a comfortable and "easy" living experience.

Easy Living Manufactured Home Community Reviews
So I was attempting to be a future tenant and I am on section 8 which I understand the bad rep we get but at the same time we are really good tenants we take care of our home. So after informing them that we are section 8 they told us that they would add the voucher we're approved for as our income but will not accept payments from them. The reason behind it was they didn't want to deal with the legal hoops they would have to go through and all the paperwork if you are section avoid them and report them
Jun 12, 2024 · TheRageMonsterWhen they tell you how much lot rent is, you'd expect some kind of service to go along with it. Yes there's a poorly maintained pool, a tiny outdated park (also poorly maintained), a basketball court that seldom used. Water is constantly shut off for repairs. If you want to put a fence up for a pet or just added security, well you just can't do that. If you own your home, don't expect any kind of service from maintenance as they only cater to renters, even though we all live in the same community that management is oh so proud of. Was told by management after I informed them that our freeze plate on our water meter broke due to sub-zero temperatures, that maintenance would come out, thaw our pipes, and replace the plate. My wife was informed by maintenance that they don't do that for homeowners for whatever reason. There's a lot that goes into living here, mainly stress.

Dec 09, 2024 · Ryan RankinJust bought my home November 17th. Not even a week later we had plumbing problems. We had to fight with management to get that fixed. Now we just need everything else fixed. Had a set date and time for it all to be fixed and no response. Our 30 day warranty is around the corner. Do better Easy Living. Hire more people for the office or something.
Dec 05, 2022 · Kelsey S PruittThe area is fairly clean the staff is friendly for the most part. But there is and annual increase in rent every year yet I don't see improvement and if your late one day they send out eviction notices. Seems a little abrasive to me.
