These testimonials highlight outstanding management and a genuinely friendly staff who are dedicated to helping residents, even "fighting to find us a spot." This personal touch is a huge asset.
Affordable Long-Term Rates: The "cheap monthly rate" for full hookups is a major draw, making it a highly cost-effective solution for full-time RVers or workers needing extended stays in the Raleigh-Durham area. This affordability is often a primary concern for this demographic.
Reliable Utilities and Amenities: The presence of full hookups (30/50 amp, water, sewer), good laundry facilities (heated in winter, with change machines), clean showers, and Wi-Fi that supports remote work ensures that all essential needs are met comfortably.
Ease of Access to Jordan Lake: Its proximity provides easy access to Jordan Lake State Recreation Area, offering abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation like boating, fishing, hiking, and swimming. This is a significant perk for those who enjoy nature and water activities.
Good Cell Service for Remote Workers: For the growing number of individuals working remotely from their RVs, the good cell service is a crucial highlight, enabling reliable connectivity for their professional needs.
Accommodates Large Rigs: The park can accommodate RVs up to 60 feet, including large mobile homes on wheels, with ample slanted and elongated parking lanes, making it suitable for a wide range of vehicles.
Quiet, Rural Atmosphere: Despite being near industrial plants, the park itself offers a quiet, rural atmosphere, providing a peaceful retreat after a day's work or travel. This contrasts with the hustle and bustle often found in RV parks closer to major highways.

Dickens RV Park Reviews
We only stayed for two nights passing through. Great for workers and full timers to stay. Good laundry facilities and heated during the winter. ATM on site and how to change machines for the washer and dryers. Ice is there available on an honor System. Showers and restrooms for those who need more space to spread out.
Apr 18, 2021 · Gary KelleyThis was the first RV Park we stayed at outside of our home state as full-time RVers. We were apparently naive to think that we could get a monthly stay 3-4 weeks before our trip in the fall near Raleigh. However, Marty was extremely helpful and really fought to find us a spot at her park, which she did! The park and amenities were decent, basically a big open space at the front of an old farm. Mostly full-timers and transient plant workers.Pros:-Marty is great-Cheap monthly rate (FHU)-Easy access to Jordan Lake-Cell service was good for a full-time remote worker-Next door to a large solar array-Laundry facilities were goodCons:-Surrounded by industrial plants-20-25 minute drive to the nearest grocery store

Dec 18, 2018 · Melissa ThomasCrowded right now, but that's cause it's all around a good place. Well set up, well maintained, and well managed. Has coin laundry on site. Good, attentive owner.
Nov 20, 2024 · H HI have been at Dickens RV park for 2 years now . The owner is a great guy, and they keep this place very clean . The cost of staying at Dickens RV Park has got to be the most reasonable price . For the most part, it is people who work out of town that stay here . I found it to be very quiet all hour of the day .
