Lived here for 2 1/2 years, and had to sell my nearly-new home for half of what I should have gotten for it. This was primarily due to the rent crossing the $1000/mo. threshold. Being an age-qualified park, many residents have tight fixed incomes, and I believe the $1000/mo. represented a line in the sand that few are willing to cross. IMO, this is not a $1000/mo. park in any way, shape, or form. The park is run-down in general with common maintenance items not being taken care of in a timely manner, and the clubhouse is a relic of the '70's with non-functional kitchen. It was swollen shut for 2 days. My cats pause and look at there place before running the opposite way. Then today the front of our trailer has a bunch of niches , and I looked down and there's all these green air pistol bullets....

Nov 19, 2024 · Anita PeaseI have lived in north Phoenix for about 27 years as a homeowner and was aware of this community as a possible place to move to when it was time to sell my house. Due to a divorce I needed to sell my house by 6/30/2021 and had driven through Central Park Village 10 -12 times in the months leading up to that date trying to secure my next home. I have called the sales office approximately 20 times inquiring about properties for sale in the park, dog restrictions, etc. since I have never lived in a mobile home or 55+ community before. Of those 20 calls, only one was answered by a live human and none of the several messages I left were ever returned! The one time someone answered I spoke with Susan about a home I saw for sale there. She said that home had sold but she had another one that was not even listed yet but was going to be soon. We made an appointment to see it at 4 PM that day...got there at 3:50 and walked around the home (it was vacant), waited till 5:00, calling Susan 3-4 times with no answer. Every time I went to the office over those weeks it was ALWAYS closed. Called 2-3 more times the next day and left messages with no return call EVER! Now this is when I'm trying to buy something and put money in their pockets...can you imagine how you will be treated if you live there and you need help with something! So much for the honeymoon period!! I ended up finding a beautiful home at The Meadows in Tempe so things worked out...whatever happened to customer service or just plain manners?
Jun 24, 2021 · Joe BreakerI have more to say about this park now. I think it is poorly run. Mgt. Seems to care less about the tenants. People pay at least 800$ a month in rent for the lot, that is if they own their unit. My friend who has lived there for 3 plus years was kicked out. First they tried to kick her out due to her weeds being too high. The gardeners offered to take care of it for her at a reasonable price. When mgt. found out about the price she made them raise it double. She had broke both of her knees and couldn't do it herself so I did it for her. That stopped the eviction for the time. Then the next month they tried again, all the whole they were receiving their rent payment finally at three months they made her leave. They wouldn't even wait til the end of the month which has been paid for not would they let her go back in to retrieve her belongings. She had no place to go and sleept in her car. She got sick because she had just gotten out of the hospital. She came down with the flew the infection had gotten so bad fast and she was taken to the ER where her blood pressure would not stabilize her organs began to shut down and she died. Now being dead her son had contacted mgt. because he wanted to get into the unit to retrieve some photos of him and her they refused to let him do so. Now it sits with her stuff in it and what are they going to do with all of her stuff? If they sell the unit they do not have the right to keep any profit from the sale. What are they going to do with the money it should rightfully go to get son but no one has mentioned that. I will miss my friend and this place was no help in keeping her alive nor do they have a heart about a poor woman who may have lived longer if they would have just helped a little more.This is a nice park but too expensive and if you park on the street past dark they will tie your auto and there are no warning signs about this. you have to search to pick up your car and it is towed all the way to just above the 202 in Tempe phx border. I was helping a friend get home from the ER and was only parked there for 10 min. I think they need to post the towing info and hours I don't know but I think they should pay me back the 125 impound fee for it not being posted. Bad business.
