Big Rig Friendly RV Resort Reviews
We stayed two nights at Big Rig Friendly RV Resort in West Columbia, SC, and it absolutely lived up to its name! Our spacious pull-through site had both gravel and reclaimed astroturf - such a thoughtful touch that really helps keep mud and mess out of the RV.From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. A friendly gentleman guided us to our site, and the team even checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The name says it all—Big Rig Friendly and genuinely friendly, too.Access is a breeze - just three miles from the I-77/I-26 interchange and only 10 minutes from downtown Columbia. There’s plenty to do nearby, with restaurants, shopping, museums, and golf courses all close at hand. The resort itself is packed with great amenities: two pools (one of which we enjoyed), four brand-new pickleball courts, full hookups at every site, buddy sites available, a well-kept dog park, and even a dog wash station. Our pups gave it two paws up!This was perfect for a short stay, but we’d absolutely return for a longer visit. It’s great to know we’ve found a reliable spot that’s both easy and enjoyable for big rigs like ours.Highly recommend!

Joel, Cheryl, Lisa and Jamie are all awesome people!!!Ode to Labrador is the only RV in this park so far that is an AirBnB and is a great old rv that was renovated to give camping experience to anyone looking for the adventure without buying your own. Owners Jamie and Lisa are awesome people!!Close by to restaurants, fast food, fuel and groceries. Its an all around great place to stay!!
May 15, 2025 · Timothy TibbottReservations were confirmed in a timely manner. We had a late check-in and they had paperwork ready for us and instructions if we needed any additional help. It was easy to find our site and easy to get into and set up. The site was level, we had to set up after dark. Campsites were well-maintained and cleaned. We did not use most of the amenities this visit as that was not our purpose. Can’t wait to revisit the campground.
Jan 25, 2025 · Lisa SilvermanWe enjoyed our two-night stay here. The site was clean and easy to pull through. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially with a fairly full park. We enjoyed the trees, but not the train at 6am. Easy access to everything downtown. The only downsides were that dog park was small and very sandy and the roads were gravel roads. However, I could see they had a plan in place and were working on these things while expanding.
Nov 21, 2024 · Christina McQuaidA 3.5 star more specific. My main complaint is the long driveway that is basically a dirt road. For the price of this park I would’ve expected it to be paved or at least a good quality gravel. They do try to wet the road a few times a day, but that really only just creates mud. As an OCD clean coach, it just bothers me to drive down a long dirt road. Otherwise the park is great. The staff is very friendly. All the utilities worked excellently. We only stayed one night. Be aware that it is quite a bit away from I77.
