While the resort offers a wealth of features, it's essential for prospective visitors to be aware of the membership model and some past concerns regarding facility upkeep as noted in a review, and verify current conditions during a visit.
Allegany Mountain Resort at Rainbow Lake primarily operates on a membership-based model, rather than offering conventional public promotions or nightly rates for non-members. This structure is a significant aspect of how the resort provides its services and access to its amenities. As such, direct "promotions or special offers" in the traditional sense are not publicly advertised for casual stays in the same way a hotel might.
However, there are a few key points regarding how one might access or experience the resort, which can be seen as forms of "offers" or pathways to entry:
Membership Purchase: The core "offer" is the purchase of a membership, which grants access to the resort's facilities and a reduced nightly rate for RV sites (e.g., $3 per night for members) or access to cabins. The resort emphasizes that a membership, when amortized over time, can be more affordable than consistently paying nightly fees at public campgrounds.
Preview Tours: The resort often invites prospective members to schedule exclusive preview tours to experience the resort firsthand. These tours are designed to showcase all the amenities and explain the benefits of membership, sometimes including an introductory overnight stay.
Resale Market for Memberships: As noted in customer reviews and external sources, memberships for Allegany Mountain Resort are sometimes available for resale at a fraction of the original price. This can be a significant "special offer" for savvy buyers. These are typically lifetime memberships or for a set number of years, with annual maintenance dues.
Guest of a Member: Non-members can visit the resort if they are guests of an existing member, often incurring a daily guest fee.
It is crucial for any interested New Yorker to fully understand the membership structure, its costs (initial purchase and annual dues), and the terms and conditions, as one review specifically warns, "Beware. Do not believe the sales pitch. Unfortunately once you sign you are locked in. Even if they promise to work with you. ... Just pure regret. Think hard and read the fine print or better yet if you really want to join just find memberships online for again upwards of 70% off from the regular price." This highlights the importance of thorough research and considering the long-term commitment of a membership.

Allegany Mountain Resort at Rainbow Lake Reviews
I had my bachelorette party at Allegany Mountain Resort and it was absolutely fantastic! The experience exceeded all expectations. The staff was amazing—friendly, helpful, and truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We caught some huge fish (catch and release, of course), which was such a fun highlight of the trip. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and there were so many great options for activities that kept everyone entertained, from relaxing by the water to enjoying the beautiful nature around us.If you’re looking for a spot that’s peaceful, fun, and full of outdoor adventure, I can’t recommend Allegany Mountain Resort enough. It was the perfect setting for an unforgettable weekend and other memories have been made here as well! 💙
May 27, 2025 · Marisah JanuszkiewiczBeware. Do not believe the sales pitch. Unfortunately once you sign you are locked in. Even if they promise to work with you. The facilities need a huge upgrade. There are very few good sites. But most of all it’s a typical predatory time share. Do not fall for the sales pitch people are selling memberships for a fraction of what they charge. The pools become extremely gross the equipment is not well maintained. The staff is the only good part some staff members are great in the park. Pure regret. Just pure regret. Think hard and read the fine print or better yet if you really want to join just find memberships online for again upwards of 70% off from the regular price.
May 25, 2025 · John De OliveiraI have been a member here for many years as well as my family. Last weekend was a blast and I was extremely grateful to be a part of this place. It is very family oriented, quiet, always meeting other members that are absolutely wonderful. I really appreciate all the kindness and professional attitude of the staff. Truly a great experience. 😁
May 27, 2025 · 1TSETII was at an RV show when I saw a booth advertising this place. So my wife and I went over and talked with the representative that was extremely informative and nice. We ended up scheduling a tour with a gentleman by the name of Mike. He took us around the grounds and we were immediately interested and ended up buying a membership. I feel that I needed to leave a good review because Lindsay and Ean are absolutely absurd. Mike is one of the most upstanding salesman that we have ever met. Every time that we come in and see him on the grounds he is always very cheerful and kind to us. This is truly a great place to stay especially for families. I would disregard any of these negative reviews and actually listen to what members have to say. Thanks again
May 27, 2025 · The SoupierWow!!!!!! What a great place and experience! Friendly and helpful sales staff! From the receptionist to the no pressure sales team it was an amazing experience.
