Alafia Mobile Plaza Introduce
Alafia Mobile Plaza in Gibsonton, Florida, presents a pragmatic and evolving option for individuals and families seeking an accessible and affordable living solution in the greater Tampa Bay area. As a mobile home park, it offers a distinct alternative to traditional housing, catering to those who prioritize cost-effectiveness and a convenient location. While acknowledged by residents as a community currently undergoing improvements and a "work-in-progress," Alafia Mobile Plaza aims to provide a functional base for its residents. It's important to approach this community with an understanding that its primary focus is on providing an accessible entry point into homeownership or long-term rental in a high-demand region of Florida.
Alafia Mobile Plaza is strategically located at 11888 US Hwy 41 S, Gibsonton, FL 33534, USA. This address places it directly on a major north-south thoroughfare, US Highway 41, which provides excellent connectivity to surrounding areas. For locals in Florida, its proximity to State Road 60 (SR 60) is a significant advantage. SR 60 is a primary east-west artery that connects to significant destinations, including downtown Tampa, Brandon, and Valrico, as well as the coastal areas. This accessibility makes commuting to work, accessing shopping centers, healthcare facilities, and entertainment venues relatively straightforward. While its location on a busy highway (US Hwy 41) and near SR 60 does mean a likelihood of traffic noise, this is often a trade-off for the convenience of being close to essential services and major transportation routes in a bustling region like South Shore Florida. This area of Hillsborough County continues to grow, offering various local amenities, employment opportunities, and access to the vibrant culture of the Tampa Bay metropolitan area.
As a mobile home park, Alafia Mobile Plaza primarily offers space and infrastructure for mobile homes, rather than a wide array of resort-style services.
- Mobile Home Lots: The core service provided is the lease or rental of individual lots designed to accommodate mobile homes. This includes the necessary utility hookups (water, sewer, and electricity) to support residential living.
- On-Site Management (Implied): While not explicitly detailed, mobile home parks typically have some form of on-site or accessible management to handle resident inquiries, maintenance concerns related to common areas, and adherence to park rules.
- Basic Infrastructure: The park provides the fundamental infrastructure required for a residential community, including roads (even if close-set), and access to utilities at each site.
- Long-Term Residency: Alafia Mobile Plaza is structured for long-term residency, offering a stable community environment for its residents.
Based on public information and resident feedback, Alafia Mobile Plaza has some specific characteristics that define the living experience there.
- Affordable Housing Option: One of the most significant features of Alafia Mobile Plaza is its role as an affordable housing solution in the competitive Florida real estate market. This makes it accessible for individuals and families on a budget.
- Convenient Location for Commuting: Its direct frontage on US Highway 41 and close proximity to State Road 60 are major highlights for commuters, providing quick access to larger employment centers and amenities in the Tampa Bay region.
- "Work-in-Progress" Status: Reviews indicate that the park is actively undergoing improvements, suggesting a commitment from management to enhance the living environment. This implies potential for future positive changes and upgrades.
- Close-Set Lots: As noted by a reviewer, the lots can be quite close together. While this might impact a sense of expansive personal space, it is typical for some mobile home park layouts designed for density and affordability.
- Practicality Over Aesthetics: Feedback suggests that the park prioritizes functionality and affordability over elaborate aesthetics. This is suitable for residents who value a practical living solution.
- Proximity to Local Amenities: Gibsonton offers various local conveniences, including grocery stores, gas stations, and basic services, all within a short driving distance. The broader South Shore area continues to develop, bringing more options closer to residents.
- Noise Considerations: Given its location near busy roadways like US 41 and SR 60, residents should anticipate a certain level of traffic noise, particularly from trucks.

Alafia Mobile Plaza Reviews
This place it's a work-in-progress but it's getting better
Jun 20, 2023 · Christine Hilario santosNot very much i can say the lots are way to close together. you could basically be handed toilet paper from you neighbor when you run out without ever leaving your toilet. It's not very open and the housing is not very nice. Not very clean and good place for people that don't really care about looks and place. Pretty close to SR 60 which is a pretty busy road for trucks so noise is probably and issue as well.
Jan 30, 2019 · HydrotonicPeople are very nosie and the kids are disrespectful and lots of cats that don't have owners and there is dogs trying to bite people when you walk around the neighborhood. Owners don't take care of there pets.
