Acapulco USA - Long Term RV Camping & Boat Ramp Reviews
I’m reading some of the negative reviews and sitting here scratching my head in confusion. My wife and I moved to SC a little over a decade ago. We searched Lake Murray carefully and diligently to find a good place to launch our boat and to recommend for our friends to stay when they come up and bring their boat. When we visited Acapulco USA (first year of living in SC), ownership was very friendly and personable, took quite a bit of time to explain lake layout, some suggestions on locations for bass during the spring… even rented us their bass boat for $75 bucks for a day. This gave us an opportunity to feel out Lake Murray fishing as lakes in SC are nothing like Louisiana waters! We have since purchased a bass boat and purchase an annual boat ramp launch pass for the trailer every year thereafter at Acapulco USA. In fact, last year I lost the renewal tag that Acapulco ownership had sent me… gave me absolutely no issues on launching my boat and sent me a replacement tag with no hassle… no additional fee’s.To summarize, on the hundred or so times I’ve launched my boat… several dozen of times that I have interacted with ownership, significantly trumps the sum total of contact made with those who complained (in fact, that seemed to be the problem)… be surprised what a little old fashion communication will do for you… lot farther than those that do not have the intestinal fortitude to first try to hash out an issue before publicly slamming an organization that they, in fact, don’t know jack about!!
Jun 29, 2022 · Mark BabbEasy quick get away. I would recommend to the owner or property manager to remove the stump that's but the stairs. We all tripped over it several times especially at night.
Sep 18, 2024 · Anthony GarciaNice place to launch your boat. Landing fee is $5.00 but is worth it so you won’t have to worry about your truck and trailer. Nice grassy area to park on. Only one restroom but it is clean. Staff was very nice. Will definitely be back.
Jul 12, 2022 · Norman SmithFriends have a camper and boat here. It is a beautiful quiet little area to relax. Great access to lake Murray as well. Over all had a great weekend here.
Sep 05, 2023 · Brenda GarciaMy daughter parked her camper in this campground in November of 2021 while she worked all over the southeast as a Covid Travel Nurse. She was barely ever there, but when she was there, her husband would be with her. Her husband came to the US from communist Cuba in 2021. Everything was great until the owner came by the camper one day to collect a light bill and met her husband for the first time. After that, he harassed her to move and stated it was due to her owning a Rottweiler, but there were no breed restrictions listed in the site rental agreement that she signed. After that day, he kept leaving notes on the camper, calling her and emailing her constantly informing her that she must leave the campground. She finally had to inform him that she felt threatened because he was harassing her and she would consult her attorney if the harassment didn’t stop. Even though she already told him weeks before that she would be moving at the end of May 2022. So…Campers beware!
