This was an acceptable stop for an exhausted crew. I tried making reservation online, couldn’t get it to go through. Called at 4:55pm and asked if they had any openings, super nice that they did! But explained I couldn’t book online. Lady told me to try again and then call back if I couldn’t. It would not go through still. Called back at 5pm when they close apparently, and had to leave a voicemail. No response. Also emailed them from their website, no response. So we just showed up and hoped for the best!!There was nobody to check in with. Signs said to self pay by bathrooms. We didn’t know where to go, and never did find a self pay area. No campground map. We just risked it, picked a spot and parked. A man did come out after a bit of us setting up. Greeted us nicely. Squared us away. We slept well! Very quiet camp.BEST part was he let us leave our trailer no charge for the day while we enjoyed Yosemite! That’s amazing. He should advertise that on his booking site. I bet a lot of people would be interested.Other than that, it was a camp area packed tight with tents and RVs. No space between anything, don’t expect any privacy. But seemed safe and quiet! - Ally Taylor

Situated conveniently close to the park, this campground offers a practical and straightforward option for those looking to experience the Yosemite area without breaking the bank. It's a place designed for utility and ease, especially for RVers and those needing a simple overnight stop.

As locals, we understand that sometimes the most memorable trips are not about luxurious amenities, but about convenient access to the natural wonders we cherish. Yosemite Westlake Campground and RV Park fits this mold perfectly. It's an accessible spot for travelers from across California, providing a functional space to rest and prepare for a day of exploration in one of the state's most iconic national parks. While it might not offer sprawling private sites or a full array of resort-style features, it provides the essential services for a comfortable and quiet overnight stay, which is often exactly what's needed after a long drive or a full day of hiking.

This campground caters to a specific need: a no-frills, practical place to park your RV or pitch a tent when you’re focused primarily on your Yosemite adventure. Its value proposition lies in its proximity and its straightforward approach to camping. For Californians who prioritize location and functionality over extensive on-site activities, Yosemite Westlake offers a compelling option. It's a place where you can often find a spot, even when other campgrounds are full, making it a reliable choice for spontaneous trips or last-minute plans to the Yosemite region.

Yosemite Westlake Campground and RV Park is located at 6554 Greeley Hill Rd, Coulterville, CA 95311, USA. This address places it just outside the main gateway to Yosemite National Park, offering a relatively short drive to the park's entrances. While the approach roads are standard for mountain areas, they are generally easy to navigate for RVs and trailers, provided drivers are accustomed to some curves and elevation changes. The ease of getting to and from the park itself from this location is a key benefit, allowing campers to maximize their time exploring Yosemite's wonders.
