Yates Place Campground

815 Dusty Level Rd, Troy, NC 27371, USA

4.0
Nice, quiet campground. We pulled into the campground around midnight and found a place to park for the night. There were several other campers there already. When we woke up, we found an open picnic table and made coffee and had breakfast. There's a bathroom that had just been cleaned, so it was fresh and tidy. No water access. There are several trails leaving the campground. We got to walk around for an hour or so before we left for the rest of our journey.Overall, great place! However, there was an abandoned campsite down the trail from the main camp area. Someone had left two tents full of crap. Of course the animals have gotten into it over time and spread trash everywhere! I wish I had gloves, a mask, and big trash bags with me, because it needs to be cleaned up. What a disgrace! Whoever left that stuff should be ashamed! - Jessica ayerst
