Winn Campground is an excellent choice for a camping trip for several reasons. The natural setting is simply wonderful, offering a tranquil and beautiful escape from the typical Arizona landscape. The presence of a healthy spruce forest and meadows provides a unique and refreshing atmosphere, perfect for de-stressing and enjoying nature. The camp's amenities, including public showers and running water, add a layer of comfort that is often appreciated by campers. However, it is important to note some potential challenges, as mentioned in a customer review. The layout of some sites, particularly for larger trailers, can be difficult to navigate due to sharp curves and surrounding boulders. Additionally, noise from other campers, including dogs, can sometimes be an issue, though this is a variable factor at any public campground. Despite these potential drawbacks, the overwhelming consensus is that the friendly camp hosts and the stunning natural environment make Winn Campground a worthwhile destination. It's a place where you can relax, birdwatch, and hike in a low-key setting, all while benefiting from the basic but crucial comforts that make a camping trip enjoyable. For those seeking a beautiful and peaceful high-country retreat, Winn Campground is a must-visit.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wonderful natural area, intact spruce forest as well as evidence of past burns. Surrounding meadows with some cows. Good for low key hiking, very good for birdwatching. Great camp hosts! Friendly, accommodating, and helpful.
July 18 · T MatelsonI stayed in a spot that was rated for a 45' trailer. Mine is 43' and it was incredibly difficult getting it into the space. It was a pull through space. Between the curve being very sharp for a spot rated for 45' and the boulders they have around the bend of the site, it was really hard to get in and out. Then there were people that rented 3 sites and all stayed in one right across from me with about 5 dogs that would not shut up. Really not a good experience.
July 15 · DavidBeautiful campground. Large sites, well maintained, clean restrooms. The host, Robyn was very friendly and helpful.
June 05 · John FifeHave been camping in Arizona for 40 years. Robyn who is the host at the Winn campground is the best. Very attentive to details and pleasant to work with. The bathrooms and wash stations are very clean. The campground is very relaxing and quiet!
July 10 · Dennis SmithOlder and sites are in need of grading but overall a solid 4 stars. Sites are spaced out and the area is very quiet with Aspens blowing in the breeze. Van is in site 6 mid July, temps in the 70’s nights in the 50’s
