White Rock Park

Hands down my favorite place in Indiana. I don’t even care that the price is a little high. Sadly it looks like the quarry will be closed this year for swimming, or maybe i read the website wrong? Lots of folks will complain on here about the safety regulations like no alcohol and required life vests, but I don’t mind it one bit. I can imagine the insurance must be really high for a place like this, so I understand the high price, safety, and even closure of some / most attentions. I get it. Hoping to see this place return and become even better - Esteban

  • Quarry Lake Access: The main draw for many, offering swimming, cliff jumping from various heights (10', 15', 20', potentially up to 30' or 40' historically, subject to current operations), zip-lining into the water, and a large rope swing. Note: Swimming/jumping lake hours are often limited (e.g., 12 pm - 3 pm on select days) and tickets are often limited and must be purchased in advance. Life jackets are required at all times while in the water, especially for jumps, zip-lines, and rope swings, and are often included with ticket/rental.

  • Fishing Lakes: The park includes two dedicated fishing lakes for catch and release, accessible with park admission or included with camping. There's also an option for "fishing for keep" for an additional fee, with specific limits.

  • Picnic Areas: Numerous riverfront picnic areas are available for day visitors and campers, providing spaces for meals and relaxation.

  • On-site Purchases: Swim shoes, rafts, ice, firewood, snacks, and t-shirts are available for purchase at the park, enhancing convenience for visitors.

  • Private Rentals: The entire park or portions of the campground can be rented for private events, offering a unique venue for gatherings.

It's important to note that the quarry swimming and jumping activities are often subject to specific operating hours, capacity limits, and safety regulations, including a strict "no alcohol" policy in the park and no pets for visitors.
