West Creek Campground Reviews
We stayed at the retreat and were very comfortable. Our family enjoyed staying here and can't wait to go back. It's close to 2 state parks. Rickets glen was only 10 minutes away and worlds end was about 40 minutes away. I recommend stopping by hillside farms on the way there for the farm animals and soft serve ice cream. You can also get glass bottled milk. People in the area were friendly towards tourists, and we loved seeing all the farms in the area. We wish we could have experienced getting some produce at the farm stands, but it was too early in the season for that. We heard there are numerous farm stands in the summer months with fresh produce.
Apr 19, 2025 · Gi He ChoiI had an amazing stay with my friends at the Retreat. We went hiking at Ricketts Glen and the campgrounds are only 10min away. The place is private with a big open area in the back. It was beautiful and clean inside. I will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended 😁
May 06, 2025 · Katerina PapazoglouA friend and I stayed here for 3 days to hike Ricketts Glen & Worlds End State Park. It was close to both. Upon arrival we were the only ones there (I’m assuming early in the season and a week day) but they were so accommodating. The Dwelling was so clean and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and there was outlets and lights. We felt very safe even though we were alone. The bathroom and showers were so clean and was perfect. We got two bundles of wood for the fire and they provide fire starters and a s’more for each of you.I truly enjoyed this stay for the price and how cute it was. We will definitely be back!
Apr 30, 2025 · JessWe had a great night’s stay at West Creek Campsite! We stayed in the Retreat as a group of 5 ladies and a dog after a hiking day at Ricketts Glen. We arrived a bit early, but the staff had our key ready for us in the office making for a quick and easy check in.Only two hiccups are what I’ll start with. We did have some unexpected visitors on site upon arrival, as 4 kittens seemed to be living on the deck and were being fed by someone. They did desperately try many times to come into the house with us, but we managed to keep them out. There were also about 15-20 ladybugs in the home when we arrived, so we called the office and they were able to come open the staff closet and get the vacuum out for us to clean them off the walls. A few more managed to make their way in as the night went on.Otherwise, the home was clean and well outfitted with linens and towels. There were small toiletry kits in each bathroom. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, but be aware there is no oven. We do wish there had been some extra throw blankets for relaxing on the couch! The grounds were well kept and although we had rainy weather, we could see how the communal areas would have been a nice amenity! We hope to come back in the spring and see how the campgrounds continue to expand!
Nov 12, 2024 · Virginia UrdanetaOur family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) loved The Retreat at West Creek campground. We were looking for a weekend away to be outside and do some hiking and we were lucky to find this little gem near Ricketts Glen State Park. It was clean, comfortable, well maintained, and had everything we needed make a few meals and keep us all entertained (bananagrams was a big hit). And our kids decided to build an outside habitat for the 4 friendly kittens (pic below). We would definitely come back and stay, and with friends next time as their are other great spaces on the grounds.
