Welckers Point Campground Reviews
Nice camping, good for tents. Pick a spot in the outer loops if you want more privacy, some of the sites are pretty close together. Great access to the bike path and the beach. Swimming right off of welckers point is a good option and the cabin there has picnic tables inside so you can hang out there if there's a bunch of rain. Half the bathrooms and shower buildings were closed in late June, hopefully that's fixed. The water in the open showers was really hot! Be careful.
Jul 02, 2025 · Erik SaynischThis was My Family's first time camping here (4th of July weekend) and it was awesome! Our campsite was large in size and we had ample room for our tent, vehicle and for the kiddos to play! Gorgeous sunsets every night, literally a short walk across from our Campsite! Everything you needed was approximately within in a 30 mile radius. I will definitely be returning!
Jul 06, 2021 · Alisa SatianBest view of the sunset as well as great shelter for rainy days if your camping. I have spent many afternoons with games and friends within these walls. Bring your picnic for a great afternoon by the water. This is not easy access to launch a kayak or SUP. Bathrooms are vault toilets but at least there is access! Great space for skipping rocks and watching the bats emerge.
Jun 16, 2023 · Ashley AdamsLots of bathrooms, but no showers. This place is mosquito infested so bring lots of bug spray. There's also a lot of crickets so first night might take you a bit to fall asleep. There's raccoons in the woods that like to scavenge the campsites at night. They are not afraid to come right up to the tents. The campsites are also a lot closer to each other than some other campsites so mind the lack of privacy. There's also a lot of people biking along the roads, so drive slowly. Enjoy
Aug 25, 2022 · Ed LiWe love welckers. It's always quiet and relaxing, even when packed with people.. with easy access to the boat launch and beach and also one of the best sunset spots. I highly recommend this campground.
