Been coming here for so long that I have a favorite site and will usually plan my visit around its availability. Perfect spot for fishing, hiking, boating, or just relaxing. I tent camp, but the whole place is also extremely well equipped for rvs and campers. Everything is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and visible without being intrusive. There's a great little general store on the property where you can get hot food, ice, firewood, snacks, bait, and some of the little things you may have forgotten to pack. It's wonderful having nice, hot showers that are cleaned daily.
May 17, 2025 · Kaylee FNeeded to get a National Parks “America The Beautiful” Annual Pass and didn’t want to risk not getting it by mail in time for anUpcoming trip. Drove from Oak Creek to De Soto to get one in person. Nice park and campground. If I was a camper, I would consider staying there.
May 13, 2024 · Todd SauveThis is a clean, well cared for campground. You can't beat COE parks for affordable camping. The park staff was very friendly and helpful also. The bathrooms were modern and clean. We loved it here!Note: there is high manganese levels in their water. There is a filter on one of the spigots but it would be best to arrive with plenty of your own drinking water.
Jul 23, 2022 · Gary & Kris SteinerBlackhawk Park was a nice park and Campground in the channels of the Mississippi River near De Soto Wisconsin. There is a great many number of campground sites to reserve. They have some nice playground areas, picnic areas, shelters, plenty of shoreline to do some fishing as well. The fishing you can experience here is excellent, with many species of fish available to fish for. Lots of diversity in their forest trees as well. Its a nice spot just a minute or two off the Great River road.
