The Manti-La Sal National Forest is a vast and breathtaking area, and Twelve Mile Flat Campground is situated in a prime location within it. The journey to the campground itself is part of the adventure. Located at LASAL, Manti, UT, USA, the road leading to the campground is a long, unpaved gravel road. While it provides a sense of remoteness and seclusion, it is important to be prepared for the drive. The road can be bumpy and "washboarded," and it is highly recommended that visitors check their tires and vehicles before making the trip up the mountain. This remote setting is precisely what many campers are looking for, as it ensures a quieter experience away from more crowded parks. It's an ideal spot for those who appreciate the journey as much as the destination. Despite its remote feel, the campground offers a sense of accessibility, with wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking lots available, making it welcoming for a wide range of visitors.

So, why is Twelve Mile Flat Campground worth choosing for your next outdoor adventure in Utah? First and foremost, it offers a true escape. For those seeking a quiet, remote, and beautiful location away from the crowds, this campground delivers. The lack of a water source and the long, unpaved road deter many, which contributes to a more secluded and private experience for those who are prepared. As one camper noted, it is "beautiful, quiet and remote." This is the ideal spot for hikers and ATV users who are looking to explore the Manti-La Sal National Forest's extensive trail system. While some visitors have mentioned the presence of RVs and ATVs can make it a bit noisy at times, especially in close-together sites, the overall atmosphere is one of being immersed in nature. The vault toilets are kept clean, and the tall pines provide a picturesque backdrop for your stay. However, a crucial point to remember is to be self-sufficient. Since there is no water available, campers must bring their own. Additionally, the remote location means that the closest place for emergencies or repairs, such as a flat tire, is a significant distance away in places like Richland. Being prepared with water, a first-aid kit, and checking your vehicle before the long drive is essential for a smooth trip. In essence, Twelve Mile Flat Campground is a great choice for the well-prepared camper who values a serene, natural environment over modern conveniences. It is a place to truly disconnect and enjoy the great outdoors in a beautiful, remote setting high above the valley floor.

Twelve Mile Flat Campground Reviews
This Campground is very beautiful. The sites are close together. We had a tent in site 14, which i recommend for tents. The issue was most had rv/ trailers and atv's. This Campground is best for that. Very loud, people and machines. Most don't follow the quiet hours guideline. If your a hiker or atv user great. Avoid the place if your looking for peace and quiet in the woods. Vault toilets were clean. No water here. Very long ride on, extreme gravel road. We got a flat , then had to get to Richland to fix it. Which is your closest place in emergency. B prepared for this type of place. Water, first aid. Check tires, long way down the mtn.
July 03 · J BBeautiful, quiet and remote. Has toilets, but no water. Road to get there has a lot of washboard last and is long. Tall pines and short drive to lakes and skyline drive high point.
September 20 · Damien PlouzekA beautiful place to get away from it all. NO CELL SERVICE, so nice! Great place to have a camp fire, ride your bike and just generally let your soul air out.
