Turkey RV Campground Reviews
We were lucky our site was not neighboring other sites as those seemed to be really close together. We had plenty of room and full hook up. The site was right across from the restrooms/showers, but didn’t use them. They could use some cleaning and updating. The site was quiet and perfect for a 2 night stay.Would stay again.
Oct 12, 2022 · Deya ChamberlainPlace was great, full 30a hookups. Some of the spaces were tight, but understandable as they try to get the most out of the area! Stayed on night. A quick walk through the clearing, across the road, and down through the tent area and we were in the lake floating on our tubes. Went in the evening after we set up and then again in the morning before we left. Will be back!
Jul 03, 2022 · Curt HencyeWe stayed at the Turkey Campground in Sept. 2021. Spaces are way too close together. I had to leave my shades down so my neighbor couldn’t look right in to our trailer. Their table was right under our window! Not kept up … trash was everywhere and cigarette butts all over the ground. Nasty! The tables at the sites were nice and strong cement, but the benches were way too high off the ground! I’m a tall person, so I can’t imagine a short person trying to sit at those tables! Beware, red wasps were everywhere! We finally discovered they were “housed” in the electrical box in the site next to ours. The park host site was 2 sites over from ours, and I realize we’re in the middle of a pandemic and places are short staffed, but we never saw ANYBODY the entire time we were there (4 nights). Every restroom in the entire park was locked up and looked like it hadn’t been used in a long time. Thank goodness ours worked and we never had to utilize them! I’ve always heard what a beautiful place Beavers Bend is. It did not live up to my expectations at all! We did enjoy the fun little train ride in the park and paddle boating on the lake. The tall pine trees were pretty, but we have those all over Texas. This place didn’t do much for me. We have MUCH prettier parks in Texas!! Sorry Oklahoma, been there, done that!!! Won’t be coming back!
Oct 06, 2021 · Debbie StraubeHorrible. No cellular service!!!! Seniors avoid no way to call 911 or get emergency services. Dirty unkept. Bathrooms locks..NO showers. Needs mowing. Spaces to close. Poor repair for state park.
Sep 16, 2021 · Deborah NossamanLove the area, but campsite was messy when we arrived and restrooms need some maintenance and improvements.
