We stayed for a few days while kayaking the Namekagon river. What an amazing area to explore. 5/5 for scenery, smallmouth fishing and fun.I read some of the recent reviews and have a different perspective. The campground host and her helper were both kind and accommodating. We never felt put off by them. The campground offers wood for sale, but you don't HAVE to buy it here. It just needs to be locally sourced. There are a couple quirks that bear mentioning. The electric and water are shared at each pair of sites. This means that one camper will need to have a longer electric cord to reach the pedestal. Ours wouldn't reach (will be buying a 30A extension cord!!) but the hostess had an adapter that she loaned which helped a ton. The 3-4 sites just west of the big pavilion have a slight slope, just be aware. The sites in the east loop and far west end are very flat. Lots of shade which is a plus. Some tree limbs overhang the road and could be trimmed back to avoid dragging on the side of your camper.Bathrooms are very clean. Shower is 50¢ for 6+ minutes. Water is nice and hot.Several seasonal campers are here, people are all very nice.Water pressure at our site was 40psi, no bad odor or taste. Perfect for drinking. There is some road noise off of the highway, but much less in the east loop. Starlink WiFi is nice, speeds 50-100mbps. Well behaved dogs are very welcomed here. We were not asked to pay a fee (as one prior comment mentioned). $35/ night seemed fair for the area competition. Dump station centrally located. There's a lot to explore, but if we decide to return to the Namekagon, we will camp here again. Oh, the National Park visitor center just east of Trego had tons of goot Intel about the area. Knowledgeable staff, lots of maps. - Parker Kelley
