Tinker AFB FamCamp is located at Oklahoma City, OK 73145, USA. Situated on the grounds of Tinker Air Force Base, its location offers both a sense of security and a quiet environment away from the main thoroughfares. Accessibility is a key feature, with wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking lots to accommodate all visitors. For those with larger rigs, it is highly recommended to use the Gott (truck) gate for easier navigation and to avoid the main gate, which can be more challenging to traverse with a large vehicle. While GPS systems may suggest alternative routes, relying on specific gate instructions can save you from a "bone-rattling" journey and ensure a smooth arrival. The campground is also well-integrated into the base's infrastructure, providing easy access to on-site services, including a mini-exchange and gas station.
The proximity to major Oklahoma City attractions means you can enjoy the peace of the campground while having easy access to everything the city has to offer. Whether you want to visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, explore Bricktown, or attend an event, the campground's central location makes it a perfect home base. What is Worth Choosing
Choosing Tinker AFB FamCamp is an excellent decision for a variety of reasons, especially if you value cleanliness, convenience, and a community-oriented atmosphere. The campground’s biggest draw is its immaculate condition. Customer reviews consistently highlight how clean and well-maintained the grounds, restrooms, and laundry facilities are. This level of care ensures that guests can focus on enjoying their stay without worrying about the basic necessities. The full hookups at each site are a significant convenience for RVers, and the spots are noted for being level and often grassy, which adds to the comfort and aesthetic of the area. The presence of a small lake or pond provides a serene backdrop for the campground, with nice walkways that are perfect for a morning jog or an evening stroll with a pet.
The camp's dog-friendly policy is a huge plus for pet owners. The walkways around the pond and the general open space make it easy and enjoyable to walk your dogs. The small number of sites, about 30, creates a more intimate and less crowded feel compared to larger, commercial parks. While some larger rigs may find the "U-shaped" layout a bit tricky to navigate, the peaceful environment and thoughtful amenities more than make up for it. The affordability, combined with the comprehensive set of services, makes it a great value. The availability of a camp host who is described as "very nice and helpful" further enhances the guest experience, providing a personal touch and assistance when needed. The proximity to the base's mini exchange, gas station, and even a Domino's pizza place right next door means you never have to go far for what you need.
For military-affiliated travelers in particular, the sense of security and community on base is a major advantage. This campground offers a safe and familiar environment that is often preferred over off-base alternatives. The combination of easy access to full hookups, a clean and green environment, and a friendly atmosphere makes Tinker AFB FamCamp a highly recommended choice. The small fee for laundry facilities and the availability of an ice maker and library share are small touches that show the management’s commitment to providing a comfortable and well-equipped stay. Overall, if you are looking for a reliable, clean, and welcoming spot for your RV or tent in the Oklahoma City area, Tinker AFB FamCamp stands out as a top contender, offering a genuine and enjoyable camping experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great RV park, clean and green, with a little lake. Spots are leveled with full hookups, good Verizon and T mobile. Very clean laundry room. The camp host is very nice and helpful.
October 18 · Kaja SWIEBThe campground was clean and offered full hook ups. It's a smaller fam camp with only about 30 sites. The U- shaped park combined with the parking layout made it challenging to navigate with a larger rig.The sites are fairly level and have a picnic table. The campground is set on pond with park. Nice walkways for humans and dogs. Laundry room with 3 washers and dryers. 50¢ for each use. Bathrooms and ice maker. Library share. Mini exchange/gas station and Dominos next door.Definitely go through Gott (truck) gate if you have a large rig and don't depend on the GPS not to route you through the base to get there. Ours took us through the main gate to "get to" Gott gate - not helpful LoL and watch out for the speed bumps in the camp, they are bone rattling in a truck.
April 14 · Amy MorrisThis rv park is not for more than a day or two. Very small sites and be prepared to have to move your tow vehicle for adjoining rv to get in its spot. If you have a dog I would pass this camp all together. The camp host knows little about making someone feel welcome. She acts more like military police not a camp host.
April 29 · Kenneth GoehringHost was hostile and unpleasant during our stay. She threatened to kick us out if we didn’t pick up our dog’s poop as soon as it hit the ground. Would not recommend staying there if she remains the host.
February 24 · Lanae CoatesLinda is a gracious host. We enjoyed our stay. Be sure to arrive before sundown. And if possible, not on a holiday!
