I am a member ervof Thousand Trails and so glad I bought one 3 years ago. This campground is... ummmm... well. It needs some updating and attention. Showers in C section (where I was) was being renovated (3 more months). Why am I using the showers you ask? There are no sewer hook ups and only 30amp power. Had I realized this, I may have stayed elsewhere.Staff was nice. Wish the bathrooms were cleaned daily. Don't get me started on the laundry facilities, we went in town instead. We liked the cloverdale community.Would we come back... doubtful. We did make a youtube video on Coolest Life. - Anthony McCool

Thousand Trails Russian River is strategically located at 33655 Geysers Rd, Cloverdale, CA 95425, USA. This address places it just east of the charming town of Cloverdale, offering excellent accessibility for travelers from across California. For those coming from the San Francisco Bay Area, the drive is straightforward, typically involving a scenic journey north on US-101. The campground's proximity to US-101 ensures that you can quickly "get in, get out, and go exploring," making it an efficient base for day trips. While it is close to the highway, many visitors have noted that the campground itself manages to maintain a quieter atmosphere than one might expect, which is a pleasant surprise. The location along Geysers Road also hints at the geological wonders nearby, though the campground itself focuses on river access and a more traditional camping experience. The highlight of its location is undoubtedly its direct access to the Russian River, allowing campers to enjoy its rocky banks (water shoes recommended!) and cool waters.
