Thousand Trails PA Dutch Country Reviews
We stayed in tent site this time. The area was clean , quiet and secluded. Everyone was so nice. Linda at the camp store was very kind and helpful when we were deciding what to do.Even the rangers at the gate were friendly. Camp sites could be marked a little more clear but nice stay overall.
May 05, 2025 · Jordan CortezOur experience was good, everyone from the staff and other campers was pleasant. The only thing that will keep us from returning is the gun club nearby. Our dogs are not into the noise.
Jun 08, 2025 · Peter HeiserMy welcome party was a rude old man at the gate, they have a corralled area for check-in RVs, but if I pulled into that area, I was NOT going to clear the gate area with my tail swing and tow dolly and I could see he was upset with that. The man came out of the security shack and he asked for my ID, I gave him my License and he looked at it and handed it back to me then walked away without saying anything. As he walked away, I asked, what do I do next? and very rudely he said, wait a minute. At this point I had traveled 400+ miles to get to this location and I was very tired so I disregarded his rudeness. After a short time, the man came out of the shack and gave me my welcome packet and directed me to my site. The (B7) site was a back in site and it was up hill, I used every leveling block I had to level my 35' super c motorhome and I still was unable to level my RV.The campground was well maintained but if you don't like barking dogs this is NOT the place for you. 4 out of the 6 sites across from us had dogs and they all were barking, the Rottweiler being the worst. The dogs started barking at 6am and went all day until past midnight. There was a Rottweiler that wanted to fight every dog that walked by and barked at every vehicle that drove by.As per park rules quiet time was 10pm to 7am, BS.We are NOT pet owners so all the dogs barking sucked, I can tell you in the future we will avoid this location like the plague.
May 26, 2025 · Johnny JTHEY ONLY CARE FOR MEMBERS!!! If you are in a tent, a Pop up camper or you are thinking about using their restrooms then think again before you come here. They have three bathrooms in the entire place, 2 of them are horrible, dirty and full of nasty curtains everywhere, the nice bathroom is in the members only area.So we were in a pop up camper and they gave us a site far away from the bathroom, we asked for something closer because we have a young little girl and if she got to go in the middle of the night it would be a huge inconvenience. It was an inconvenience to be so far away regardless of the time. They gave another one closer to the bathrooms but when we went to check the showers there it was disgusting. They told us that we should be grateful because that area is reserved for members, we asked for a site that has the bathroom in front of it and the showers were nice but they said that it was for members only. Sooooo the site was empty for the entire time that we were there and they were willing to give me an only member site next to the nasty showers but not the only right next to the nice showers. They were very unwelcoming here, they really didn't care for us, They came to our site to tell us that we couldn't hang a hammock because someone could die 😳.We stayed three days and thank God we are now in a new location having fun and enjoying our vacation.
Jun 15, 2025 · L EDisappointed. We did have hook ups which were good, however. amenities were closed, even the store. There is no wifi . Also, there is a gun range adjacent which can cause possible issues. They were supposed to take our Passport America discount card. but when we showed our card, they said we don't accept. After 7 calls to both PA and Thousand Trails, there was no resolution and we ate the $168.00 discount. Lesson learned.
