TerraSol Introduce
For those in Arizona seeking a truly unique and community-focused camping experience, TerraSol in Patagonia offers a one-of-a-kind retreat. Situated in the heart of Southern Arizona's Sky Islands region, this campground is more than just a place to park your tent or van; it's a welcoming hub for outdoor enthusiasts, particularly hikers and bikepackers. The campground identifies as women-owned and operates with a "hostel-style" philosophy, creating a friendly and communal atmosphere where travelers can share stories, rest, and recharge. This is a place where you'll find a blend of rustic camping and thoughtful amenities, all designed to make your journey more comfortable and memorable. It’s a perfect base camp for exploring the Arizona Trail and the beautiful surrounding landscape, making it a true gem for locals and adventurers passing through.
The environment at TerraSol is distinctively warm and inviting. As one customer review noted, the owner, Mary, is "awesome" and her presence makes the campground feel like a home away from home. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with a "furry welcoming representative" adding to the charm. This sense of community and care is a major part of what makes TerraSol so special. The campground offers a safe and secure place for visitors, providing a tranquil space to recuperate after a long journey, as highlighted by a customer who had just recovered from a serious medical event. The balance between offering individual privacy and encouraging social interaction sets TerraSol apart from other camping options in the region.
TerraSol is located at 542 Harshaw Rd, Patagonia, AZ 85624, USA. This address places it conveniently in the charming town of Patagonia, a well-known stop for hikers and bird watchers. The campground is just a half-mile from the town center, making it easy to access local shops, restaurants, and other services by foot or by bike. This proximity is a major advantage, allowing campers to enjoy the wilderness experience while having the convenience of a small town nearby. The location is also directly on the Arizona Trail (Patagonia alternate route), and the Sky Islands Odyssey bikepacking loops, making it an ideal staging point or a much-needed rest stop for those undertaking these long-distance adventures.
Accessibility is well-considered at TerraSol. The campground features a wheelchair accessible parking lot, ensuring that guests with mobility challenges can easily access the site. While the terrain is naturally varied, the parking area provides a solid foundation for arrival. On-site parking is available for vehicles, making it a convenient base for travelers with vans or small RVs, as well as for those who are just parking their car overnight while they embark on a long hike.
The services offered at TerraSol are designed to cater specifically to the needs of its unique clientele, providing a "hostel-style" camping experience.

June 08 · Jeremy DuncanI've never done this before,so please bare with me. Okay, where do I start? I have just gotten out of a 3.5 medical induced coma, and I was looking for a place to just get away and recuperate. Well,I strolled through places to stay, and I just kept going back to TerraSol. And ,wow! Am I glad I chose TerraSol. I couldn't have asked for a better place. It's almost like God sent me there because He knew exactly what I needed. And it was perfect in every way. From the price to the complete set up. And then there is Ms. Mary. My,God,what an angel on earth. She everyone's grandmother, aunt, mother, sister, and friend all wrapped in one. Then there is Jack and his wife. A very young, and down to earth couple. Jack and his wife are both two very n8ce and cool people. I urge you that if you are looking to camp(tent)glamp(camper),and you're into bicycling or hiking, then please,by all means check out TerraSol. I know for a fact you are not going to find any place better for the price, and your own privacy, with two hot showers,a complete outdoor kitchen unlike anything I have ever seen, and washer and dryer all on site. Please,go check TerraSol out. I guarantee you will not find better with better on site staff. Ms. Mary, and Jack thank you for making my stay one of the best I ever had. And they are pet friendly. Thank ya'll again and God bless.
May 07 · Howard HartleyHad a great stay, nice location close to town and trails with a beautiful view. Mary is a terrific host.
July 15 · Tom PihlThis is a perfect basecamp for visiting Patagonia. Mary is wonderful and we loved seeing her perform with the Tanagers at Patagonia Lumber Co. Astral took me on the best bike trip of my life and then fixed my bike.
March 18 · Todd CVery nice little campground. $35 for 2 people dry camping. We are self sufficient so didn’t need the open air kitchen. With that said, the price seems a bit high.
