Stag Run Club Introduce
Indiana, a state often recognized for its agricultural landscapes and Midwestern charm, also harbors unique retreats for specific communities seeking relaxation and camaraderie. For those in the LGBTQ+ community, particularly gay, bisexual, and transgender men aged 21 and over, Stag Run Club in Mauckport, Indiana, stands as an exclusive, all-male, members-only resort designed to provide a distinctive and liberating getaway. This article aims to offer a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Stag Run Club, helping Indiana locals understand its unique offerings and determine if it aligns with their preferences for an adult-focused escape.
Established in 2006, Stag Run Club has built a reputation over more than 18 years as a private sanctuary where men can unwind, socialize, and enjoy a range of amenities in a welcoming environment. It is important to note from the outset that Stag Run Club operates as a private club, requiring an annual membership for entry, which also grants access to its facilities throughout the season. This membership model helps foster a consistent community atmosphere, though day passes are also available for those wishing to visit for a shorter period.
The resort aims to be a haven away from the stresses of daily life, offering a mix of relaxation and social opportunities. Its setting in the serene countryside above Mauckport, yet a short drive from Louisville, KY, provides both convenience and a sense of peaceful seclusion. From unwinding by the pool to participating in social events in the lodge or around a campfire, Stag Run Club cultivates an environment where guests can "let loose and have fun." While most traditional campgrounds cater to a broad public, Stag Run Club's specific focus on the all-male, 21+ community differentiates it significantly, ensuring a tailored experience for its members.
Prospective visitors should be aware of the club's specific nature, including its membership requirements and its focus on adult males. This understanding is key to ensuring that the experience meets expectations, aligning with the club's established culture and offerings. Despite varied past experiences from some individual reviews, the club maintains its unique positioning as an exclusive retreat designed for a particular demographic seeking a specific type of social and recreational environment.
Stag Run Club is located at 2150 Overlook Dr SW, Mauckport, IN 47142, USA. Mauckport is a small community situated in Harrison County, Indiana, along the Ohio River. This location offers a sense of peaceful rural escape while remaining conveniently accessible.
For Kentuckians, particularly those in the Louisville metropolitan area, Stag Run Club is just a short drive away. This proximity makes it an ideal spot for a quick day trip or a weekend getaway without extensive travel. From other parts of Indiana, access typically involves navigating major interstate highways before connecting to state roads that lead into Harrison County. For instance, from Indianapolis, the journey would involve taking I-65 South towards Louisville, then crossing into Indiana and proceeding to Mauckport.
The "Overlook Drive" in its address suggests a scenic setting, potentially with elevated views of the surrounding countryside. While specific public transportation options are unlikely given its rural location and private club status, the straightforward road access ensures that members and visitors can easily reach the resort by personal vehicle. The blend of secluded ambiance and convenient access to a major city like Louisville is a significant advantage, allowing for an escape that doesn't feel too remote.

Stag Run Club Reviews
I went here on a Sunday a bit later in the day to renew my membership and get a day pass. When I got there I was told they’d be closing at a different time than their website. Which, okay, I’ll be mindful of the time and not overstay. Had a good couple hours of chatting and hanging out in the pool. But something felt ‘off’…The thing that is off is the ownership. This is a place to go if you enjoy hanging out with a schoolyard bully that has a middle school mentality (the new owner).I paid $20 for maybe two hours in a pool, and felt like I was doing them a disservice being there. Not only that, this is after buying a membership and two passes last year, $60. Even then, I had some creeping feelings I just wasn’t accepted there. I made the huge mistake of going back…This time I was getting angrily glared at the entire time by the owner. Way more off putting, not even trying to hide it. I did my best to ignore it, as I was there simply to relax. Then, I was insulted as I was leaving, by said owner. The c-word was hurled as I was walking out the door. This was after I politely said goodbye.I just kept walking, half in disbelief at what just happened, and half pondering what I could have possibly done to warrant that treatment. The sad part is I left my house that day thinking I found a nice place to be accepted, and get away from daily stresses. Instead it added another. This is a ridiculous place, wouldn’t call it a business let alone a “club”. Never going back, not recommending it to anyone. I’ll speak up for myself if I’m mistreated. I’ll speak up for others who are likely getting the same mistreatment here (read some of the other lower reviews, there’s a pattern). This is all warranted, I’m not removing this review, please be forewarned.
Jun 16, 2025 · Ryan LeonardOne of the best experiences I've ever had with my husband. The place is clean and organized. The owners are absolutely wonderful. We live in Florida and will make the trip back because it was that good. Pool was nice and had a great mix of people. We stayed in one of the rooms located behind the main house. The room was very nice. No bathroom but not that far away. The outdoor shower was a great experience too... thanks for letting us stay and for making us feel so welcomed.
Jul 15, 2024 · Richard SmithThis was my first visit here and went solo. I rented one of the vintage campers. The Owners were very welcoming and hospitable from the first second I arrived! The seasonal campers were great at showing me around and very inviting. Very well maintained grounds and facilities. Gorgeous pool, hot tub, and lodge! Very community oriented and felt very welcomed! I loved that it more quaint, quiet and low key. I Had a very relaxing weekend and plan to return!
Jul 09, 2024 · Dan CreechFirst timer here: I went by myself this past weekend and had a blast! The vibe is so friendly and inviting. Total acceptance and beautiful community. I was able to make friends and talk to pretty much everyone. The owners were great! The regulars were great! The new people were great! I will definitely be back! Biggest impression was the friendliness of everyone.
Jun 18, 2024 · Andrew Chapman ChappyI'm new to Stag Run this season and have already been 4 weekends with more. planned. I find the guys there are very friendly to new guys, especially when they start to come more often. I have a blast every time I go.The Holiday weekends have been great. Guys brought a feast for everyone and there was a fun activity Saturday and Sunday night. The DJ on memorial Day weekend was out-of-this world good.I'm a people watcher and there are so many different kinds of guys there, anyone could make a new friend/s. I say this because I have met some of the sweetest and nicest men there both camping and on a Day Pass.A big hug to Rob and Hugh for creating such a warm, inviting, and friendly atmosphere. I can't wait to get back to see everyone this weekend.I came just to meet new guys and have received a lot more.
