Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park & Campground Reviews
Wow! What a wonderful gem in Lake City, FL. I'm from Tallahassee, FL and this was my first time camping experience and doing it with kids to boot. The staff here were so kind and helpful with my child who wanted to walk through the woods while also juggling balls. Electricity was not an issue. A HUGE thank you to their restaurant for saving the day for me. I do not cook. Kinda ironic at the whole camping thing. Also the store on site was greatly appreciated. Beautiful water, clean bathrooms and strong staff presence will be back again.
Apr 08, 2025 · Amanda JordanPeople were not kidding when they said magic lives here. I visited for the first time for a music festival. Bathrooms were kept up on. Trash cans as needed. This place is amazing. I can't wait to go back in Oct.
May 07, 2025 · CaseyMayWe took a little trip to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park for 3 days of camping and music. This park is an impressive 800 acre park with full 30 amp and 50 amp hookups. They have plenty of primitive camping, horse stables, cabins, and membership camping spots. There is a white sand beach on the black waters of the Suwannee River, canoe rentals, a lake, a bat house, disc golf, a camp store, restaurant, and golf cart rentals. There are port-a-potties throughout the campground. They were very clean. I did not visit the bathhouse but I only saw one. We were there for the first annual Amp Jam. I would recommend this park and the festival. I would also recommend VIP passes for a music festival which gave us a viewing area at the front of the stage, upgraded bathroom facilities, a comforter station with free water, hot chocolate, and tea. We also had a private bar and got to judge a good cook-off both Friday and Saturday night. Saturday they had an oyster bar and crawfish boil. I would definitely recommend this park but I do hope they add another bathhouse or two.
Mar 11, 2025 · Kristen DanielNot ideal for horse camping.Corrals are big enough for 2-3 horses with campsites in front, but the fencing is not appropriate for horses, especially if they have shoes. Our horses got their feet stuck in the fencing several times. Stalls are small in the barns. Bath houses are very primitive with zero privacy. Bathrooms had every toilet clogged when we left.Trails were decent but not extensive, very little variety. We mostly rode through the camp grounds. Maps were barely helpful at best. Horse area is combined with regular camping area where unknowledgeable campers were able to walk right up to our horses.Staff was nice, but we likely won't return.
Mar 15, 2025 · Alex La PierreWe tent camped for four nights during new years and made memories that our kids will never forget, and neither will we. It was so much fun.The five Miles of Christmas lights were amazing. You could tell there was a lot of time and money spent in that. The cost is worth every penny. You do get a discount if you purchase online as opposed to at the gate. The fireworks for New years were breathtaking! They lasted over 30 minutes and we're better than most city firework events that you will attend. There are a ton of campsites and cottagesSo one thing that I would suggest is reserving a golf cart when you make your camp reservation.. it will just make your life easier because the camp is so big. We tried to do it after we got there but New Year's is a popular time and they were all rented out until our last day. As much fun as camping was, the golf cart was one of our kids favorite things. The other thing I would suggest is if you were looking for electrical hookup and are not in an RV then make sure that you have the RV male electrical adapter so that you can plug in your extension cords. We looked like a redneck with our blow up mattresses bungeed to the top of the SUV whenever we took them to the bathrooms to blow them up because we didn't have the adapter for the campsite 🤪. We got there late in the stores were already closed. Usually they have the adapters in stock at the general store there but they were sold out so we got one at the tractor supply down the road for $10.There is also a large bat house Where hundreds of bats come out at dusk... It was a neat experience.
