Silver Springs Campground is conveniently located at 705 Portland Rd, Saco, ME 04072, USA. Its address places it perfectly for exploring the vibrant Southern Maine coast. The campground's prime location offers excellent accessibility to some of the region's most popular destinations, ensuring that you’re never far from adventure or relaxation.
One of the biggest advantages of staying at Silver Springs is its proximity to the ocean and the lively Old Orchard Beach. While not directly on the beach, it's "close to the Ocean, Old Orchard Beach," meaning you can easily take a short drive to enjoy the famous pier, sandy shores, and amusement park rides. This convenience allows campers to enjoy the best of both worlds: the peace and amenities of the campground, combined with the excitement of a classic Maine beach town.
Beyond the beach, the campground is strategically situated to offer access to "lots of attractions in the region." This includes local favorites like Funtown Splashtown USA, which is typically a very short drive away, providing even more family entertainment options. For those who enjoy a bit of local flavor, the accessibility means that enjoying fresh "lobster and steamers" is a regular, easy-to-do part of the Silver Springs experience.
Access to Silver Springs is straightforward, typically involving a short drive from major interstate highways like I-95. For instance, from Exit 36 off I-95, you would generally go east on I-195 and then north on US-1, bringing you directly to the campground. This ease of access makes it a convenient choice for campers traveling from various parts of Maine and beyond.
- Full Hookup RV Sites: Silver Springs Campground specializes in RV camping, offering a variety of sites with full hookups, including city water, sewer, and electric (30 and 50 amp service available). They have open grassy sites, pull-through sites, and shaded sites to accommodate different preferences.

- Restrooms and Hot Showers: Clean and well-maintained restroom and shower facilities are available for all campers, ensuring comfort and hygiene.
- Sewer Pumping Service: For sites without direct sewer hookups or for seasonal campers, a sewer pumping service is typically available for a fee, making waste disposal hassle-free.
- General Store/Office: A well-stocked general store or office is usually on-site, offering essentials, snacks, camping supplies, and firewood.
- Propane Refill: Many campgrounds of this size offer propane refilling services, which is a key amenity for RVers. (Confirm with campground directly if crucial).
- Two Swimming Pools (Including Adult Pool with Hot Tub): This is a major highlight! Silver Springs boasts "2 pools, one being an adult pool with a hot tub." This provides dedicated spaces for both family fun and adult relaxation, a feature not commonly found at all campgrounds. The main pool is also large and heated.
- Extensive Sports Facilities: For active campers, the campground offers a wide array of sports amenities including a "new black top basketball full Court," "pickle ball," and "horse shoes." Other sources indicate volleyball courts as well, ensuring plenty of opportunities for friendly competition.
- Playgrounds and Kid-Friendly Amenities: Families will appreciate the "playground" and other features designed for children, such as a jumping pillow and sometimes "fun water toys" at the beach area of their 10-acre pond. Two playgrounds are available at different ends of the campground.
- Private Sandy Beach on a 10-Acre Pond: In addition to being close to the ocean, Silver Springs features its own private "Sandy Beach on a 10 Acre Pond," offering another swimming option, opportunities for paddle boats, and fishing (catch and release only). This pond is fed by a natural spring.

- On-site S’more Snacks Shack: For convenient poolside dining and treats, a "S'more Snacks Shack" offers appetizers, nachos, sandwiches, burgers, and ice cream.
- Paved Roads and Weekend Security: Paved roads help keep dust down and make for better biking, while weekend security adds to the peace of mind.
While specific, publicly advertised "promotions" in the traditional sense (like discount codes) for Silver Springs Campground are not consistently listed on general camping deal sites, the campground's structure and popularity suggest that their "offers" are more about value and seasonal booking advantages.
Based on common practices for popular campgrounds and insights from reviews:
- Early Booking Advantage: The fact that a reviewer couldn't get a site for 2024 and was "Making plans already for the 2025 season" strongly indicates that the biggest "promotion" is the opportunity to secure a spot by booking well in advance. Popular dates, especially holiday weekends, fill up extremely quickly.
- Seasonal Rates: For those looking to make Silver Springs their summer home, their seasonal rates are a significant value proposition, encompassing a full season from May to October, often including utilities and winter storage.
- Holiday Weekend Requirements: Expect "full payment in advance for holiday weekends" and likely a three-night minimum stay for popular periods like Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.
The best way to inquire about any current rates, availability, or potential special offers (especially for off-peak times or extended stays) is to contact Silver Springs Campground directly via phone. They will have the most accurate and up-to-date information on booking requirements and pricing.

Silver Springs Campground Reviews
We've camped here for a weekend getaway for almost 15 years, usually Labor Day Weekend. Always a great stay! At one point we had 4 generations camping at the same time here! Previous owners were awesome, new owners are great, too! Lots of attractions in the region. We always do lobster and steamers, too! We weren't able to get in during the 2024 season as they had no sites left the weekend we wanted to go. Making plans already for the 2025 season to camp here. Hopefully they aren't already booked up!
Jan 23, 2025 · Greg PattenAmazing owners , grounds very well taken care of, close to the Ocean, Old Orchard Beach, on site laundry, 2 pools, one being an adult pool with a hot tub, a playground, new black top basketball full Court, pickle ball, horse shoes , the list goes on and on!
Jul 12, 2016 · Jennifer HicksTo be upfront It rained our whole trip... although it is family friendly and the full timers are very considerate, managed well. I would have liked better drainage / gravel at the nightly sites. Overall a good experience. We left early due to drainage / camp is a mud pit or we would have stayed out full stay.Decent stay overall...
Jul 04, 2023 · Richieb Burn (Richie7666*)We only stayed 2 nights, but it was quite pleasant. The owners are very accommodating and the bathroom facilities are good (that’s how I start my ratings at campgrounds!). We would’ve stayed an additional night if not for having to give up the spot to a reserve. No problem, we were a “walk in”. They don’t have a lot of sites open, as they are mostly seasonal. That’s part of what is so nice - its more of a neighborhood than a campground.
