Sebago Lake State Park Campground Reviews
The park itself is beautiful—clean, well-maintained, and great for families. However, we had a disappointing experience with one of the rangers on our first night. Our neighboring campers were playing guitar and singing loudly until around 11 PM, even though quiet hours start at 10 PM, and no one stopped them.Meanwhile, we were a group of adults sitting quietly around a bonfire, not making noise or disturbing anyone, yet the ranger approached us around 1 AM and gave us a written warning. He stated that we were violating quiet hours, even though we weren’t being loud—just sitting and talking softly.Quiet hours should be about noise levels, not about forcing people to sleep. The inconsistency in enforcement made us feel unfairly targeted, and it left a negative impression, especially since it seemed one-sided. We hope the park improves how quiet hours are enforced so that all campers are treated equally and fairly.
May 28, 2025 · pro tradersWe have been coming here every year for 17 years as a family. My husband has been coming here for over 40 years. This place is great. Very clean, family friendly, and so relaxing. A couple of beaches, bathrooms with hot showers, playgrounds, an amphitheater, a nature center, and cornhole tournaments. Sites with and without hookups. So many memories to be made. We come at the same time every summer, and we see many of the same families every year. Aug 15, 2024 · Maggie BWonderful campground. This is the best freshwater beach I have ever been to. Very well maintained facilities. Special thank you to Steve, a campground host, who runs the cornhole tournaments. A great family camping environment. The sites are tight together, but just be picky on the site you stay at.
Jul 12, 2024 · Reilly ZubrickiIf you have kids this is a 5 star location. The staff are wonderful. There are not enough bathrooms for the amount of people camping. We were there after a major rainstorm it was very muddy we enjoyed the children stomping around in the massive mud puddles grateful they weren’t sharing are quarters. They really should fix the potholes
Jul 19, 2024 · KThe beach & water are beautiful & clean. And the town of Naples & Causeway are really nice with a great Sun shop & ice cream stand. We had a fantastic seaplane ride at Seaplane Adventures. However, the campground itself was shocking for a state park. We choose state parks because they are usually more spacious & surround you with vegetation & trees between sites. Not this place! You are sandwiched in between campers. No privacy at all. You breathe in the smoke from every fire around you. I have been to commercial campgrounds with more room than this. Very unpleasant. The map shows site 129 as "large) & Waterview. Take a look at the photos to see the view. We won't be back.
