★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1All the sites here at Fool's Hollow are nice concrete pads. Water pressure was 80psi so have a regulator. Power had problems, at least in the Redhead Loop. Ruddy Duck Sites near the lake, west side, have nice views. Sites 1-10 but most are companion sites. Drives are easy and moderately wide for those with long rigs. Bathrooms and showers are clean, but shower heads are excoriating and there's no temperature adjustment. You get a really hot and stinging experience. There are lots of mature trees and shade throughout the park loops. We stayed in Redhead Loop site #27 and the southern most site nearest the lake is really nice. The eastern side of the loop is on a hill. It was hot and the power grid was stressed so we couldn't run the AC or the voltage would drop below 104v and our EPO would kill the power. After it cooled in the evening enough people stopped running AC so we could run ours and cool everything down before bed. The rangers were very responsive and did quite a lot of troubleshooting. Ultimately they couldn't remedy the problem and offered to move us to another site. All the staff interactions we've had have been great. The lake is murky green but no wake allowed so it's good for paddleboards and swimming. Lots of rocks on shoreline make getting into the lake difficult. Rented the SUPs, 3 for an hour @ $100. The water temp is cool but not too cold to stay in for as long as you want. The surrounding area is beautiful ponderosa pines and junipers. Show Low is minutes away with everything you forgot to bring or want a night off of cooking.
