Beautiful scenic clean and quiet campground, tent camped for 3 nights here for geowoodstock 2025 and had no issues other than the weather didnt turn out that great but thats not in anyone's control lol definitely will be back this summer ☺️ we had spot #2, a lot of rocks sticking up from the ground and no pad to put a tent on but still made the best of it, enjoyed the little cave right behind our campsite as well below the big rocks! - Beverly Laskowsky

As part of the West Virginia State Parks system, Rhododendron Camping Area generally operates with standardized pricing and booking policies. While specific, flash "promotions" might not be common for individual campgrounds, West Virginia State Parks sometimes offer broader deals or discounts that can apply to camping. For example, look out for potential off-season rates during spring or late fall, which can provide a more budget-friendly camping experience when the weather is still pleasant. Group rates for booking multiple sites might also be available, but this would require direct inquiry with the forest office, as group site booking isn't always readily apparent online.

It is always recommended for West Virginia locals to check the official West Virginia State Parks website or, more effectively, to call the Coopers Rock State Forest office directly. They can provide the most current information on pricing, availability, and any specific seasonal offers or booking incentives. While some reviewers noted conflicting information during booking calls, persisting and clarifying your needs is often the best approach to uncover any available specials. Booking in advance, especially for popular weekends, is generally advisable to secure your preferred spot.
