Reed Bingham State Park - Campground Reviews
Spacious and level campsites. Some of them are under the cover of trees while others are open to the sun. There are two loops both with full hookups and a bathhouse. Both bathhouses were spotless. The laundry in the loop 1 bathhouse was out of order. Unfortunately the washer in loop 2 was left disgusting. Besides that, the campground was very clean as well as very peaceful. There is a campground store and a beach. You can also fish and boat (currently the lake is undergoing a planned temporary lowering of the water level). There are hiking trails but the boardwalks are closed due to hurricane damage. As others mentioned, the only down side are the relentless gnats. We ended up buying a screened in canopy at WAL-MART so we could sit outside. The campground is easily accessed from I-75. The I-75 interchange offers food and fuel options.
Jun 13, 2025 · The Princess and The TrollFound this beautiful state park in October 2023 and now here we are again in April 2024. Such a great state park. Camping sites are large as is the park itself and most have full hook up which is always a bonus. Lots of shaded sites and some great shaded hiking trails. Full access to the water and launching ramps in the park if you bring your boat. Campground grounds are kept pristine. Don’t forget to grab your fishing license online as Game Wardens are very present at this park.
Apr 16, 2024 · Donna B.Peaceful, well managed campsite. Site offers full hook ups. The black tank connection was a little tricky due to angle, but we made it work, we might need an adaptor next time we come, toMake it easier. Enjoyed amenities and kids enjoyed some light hiking, a taking scooter around park. Watched some nice sunsets and while at the lake. There is volleyball, flat grass area to play catch pr football, a nice playground, outdoor gym, and mini golf. Need to bring a putter and golf ball or we heard from other campers that office might have some, so ask when you check in, if that is an activity you might enjoy. Shopping is close by there are some nice restaurants near Publix.
Aug 06, 2023 · Alma MOur first time camping with our new camper. We evacuated from Hurricane Idalia. Very glad this was available. Beautiful state park. Sites have electric, sewer and water. The restrooms were clean however since there was no electricity or water the toilets didn't flush but other than that they were awesome. The electric and water put back on the next day. Definitely will be back.
Sep 01, 2023 · MV-angel61The bathrooms at the lake are filthy and the water was turned off on Memorial Day Weekend. The grass and weeds were high in the campground. The host was not motivated to mow around the campsites. Instead, he mowed the shaded areas on a hot day. The campground should have been prepared for the holiday weekend.-VERY DISAPPOINTING!!
