Rainbow Springs State Park Campground Reviews
We had a wonderful stay at this campground. While there we enjoyed tubing, swimming in the camp swim area, grilled at the pavilion down by the swim area, rode the tram, launched from the kayak dock, brought our own tubes and kayak. We went fishing. There is plenty of wild life. The restrooms were kept clean and were large. Easy to ride bikes. Quiet times were honored.Sites have trees but during the day they have little shade so bring a canopy for shade. When it rains - which is often sites can flood. It’s a smaller campground there are not many sites but they were well kept with fire pits, grills, picnic tables. They are in loops. It’s true they don’t give out maps but they respect the environment and don’t like litter.Ask about the tube and tram prices at the office. See them in the photos. When tubing on the river you can’t take disposal items so make sure you check with the office - what can be taken. We come back annually for family camping. ❤️
Jun 22, 2025 · Rita LoedingStayed here for a week. Its was nice. All the employees were nice. Bathrooms were nicely cleaned daily besides the bathroom in loot A being closed all week. The prices of some things in the store were a bit much. Oh and tubing down the river you still have to pay 24.99 to rent their tubes or 14.99 with your own tube all day. If you are tent camping in loot A beware of if there is heavy rain your camp is going to get floods. We were on loot A #57 ... the video shows it all. There little swimming area is free and the kids loved just a bit of a walk. There are carts you can get for your paddle boards that is free as well.
Jun 28, 2025 · Smiles ValjackStaff is friendly, called to give us a code for the entrance, before arriving. A fairly small campground, but most sites are decent sized. Each site has a picnic table, grill, fire pit, and ours had posts to hang items or hammock. Foliage between our site #30. It is also across from the bathhouse. Dumpsters located at the entrance to the campground,at the check in office. Sites Marked well with smaller wooden stakes. I would have given a 5 star except the sites need some removal & trimming of dead foliage, and the water launch area needs some love & attention. It has piles of old plank wood and concrete. Also, they didn’t have any maps to hand out at check in. They had us take a picture with our phone. Not that it’s a super huge deal, but I don’t always want to use my phone to reference the campground, and or State Park. And we haven’t camped somewhere lacking mutt mitts. We always have some, but unfortunately some campers don’t carry them. Will make sure to post a few more pictures, of the areas I described.
Dec 16, 2024 · LoriStaff is really nice and helpful. The camp ground itself is really clean and well maintained however they are pretty close together. We used camp site number six and it’s very close to the bathrooms and it’s right up against a trail so be warned that people will be taking the trails right next to you camping. The restrooms and showers are ok, I have seen worse and better. Could use some attention and maintenance. This is a quiet campground. People were very respectful of the time and other campers.
Apr 28, 2025 · Chrissygo if you can. clean sites, friendly staff, path to launch kayaks from the campground. kayaking here is amazing. the water is so vibrant and clear. there is a place to get out, stretch, grab a bite to eat and walk around before paddling back to camp. the sites are a little close together but overall good experience.
