PINE LAKES CAMPGROUND focuses on providing essential services that cater primarily to long-term and seasonal campers, ensuring a comfortable and well-maintained environment for their residents. The emphasis is on reliability and cleanliness, contributing to a high level of satisfaction among its long-standing community.
- Seasonal and Permanent Sites: The campground excels in offering options for long-term stays. Reviews indicate that many campers have found their "permanent campground" here, with some having stayed for eight years or more. This suggests well-appointed sites suitable for seasonal leases, accommodating both RVs and travel trailers.
- Clean Shower Facilities with Guaranteed Hot Water: A standout feature highlighted by customers is the exceptional quality of the shower areas. While there's a nominal charge (e.g., a quarter) for showers, this ensures a "clean shower area and guaranteed hot water." This commitment to providing consistently clean facilities and reliable hot water is a significant comfort for campers.
- Friendly and Accommodating Owners: The owners are consistently praised as "super nice." This level of personal connection and hospitality is a core service, contributing greatly to the positive atmosphere and the feeling of being part of a welcoming family. Their approachability likely extends to assisting with various camper needs.
- Community-Oriented Environment: While not a specific "service" in the traditional sense, the strong sense of community is a key offering. Campers enjoy spending time together, suggesting the presence of common areas or informal gatherings that foster camaraderie among residents.
- Well-Maintained Grounds: The positive feedback about the overall experience and the long-term residency implies that the general campground grounds are well-maintained, contributing to the pleasant aesthetic and functional quality of the park.
- Basic Utility Hookups (Implied): For seasonal sites, it is highly likely that PINE LAKES CAMPGROUND provides essential utility hookups, including electric, water, and possibly sewer, to support the needs of RVs and travel trailers during extended stays. (Specific details on amp service or full hookups are not in provided reviews, but are standard for seasonal parks).
PINE LAKES CAMPGROUND might not boast an exhaustive list of resort-style amenities, but its true highlights lie in the quality of its core offerings and the atmosphere it cultivates. These features are what make it a cherished destination for its loyal community of campers.
- Exceptional Owner Hospitality: This is consistently highlighted as a major feature. The owners are described as "super nice," fostering a welcoming and supportive environment that makes campers feel valued and eager to return. This personal touch is a significant differentiator.
- Strong Sense of Community: The campground is characterized by "amazing people" and a feeling of being a "permanent campground" for many. This indicates a vibrant, friendly, and stable community of campers who enjoy each other's company, fostering lasting friendships and a true "home away from home" atmosphere.
- Reliable and Clean Showers with Hot Water: The guaranteed hot water and cleanliness of the shower areas, even if coin-operated, are highly valued features. This ensures a comfortable and hygienic experience, which is crucial for a pleasant camping stay.
- Peaceful Environment: While not explicitly stated, the long-term nature of the stays and the emphasis on community suggest a generally peaceful and tranquil setting, allowing campers to relax and unwind without excessive noise or crowds.
- Ideal for Seasonal/Long-Term Stays: The reviews strongly imply that the campground is particularly well-suited for those looking for a consistent spot for their RV or travel trailer over an entire season or multiple years. This stability is a significant draw for many Ohio campers.
- Natural Setting (Implied by "Pine Lakes"): The name "PINE LAKES" suggests a natural environment likely featuring pine trees and water bodies (lakes), contributing to a serene and scenic backdrop for camping. While specific details on the lakes or natural features are not given, the name evokes a tranquil outdoor setting.
- Value for Money (Implied by Shower Fee): The fact that campers are happy to pay a nominal fee for the shower indicates that they perceive it as good value for the cleanliness and guaranteed hot water received, suggesting an overall good value proposition from the campground.
Based on the provided customer reviews for PINE LAKES CAMPGROUND, the primary "promotions" or "special offers" are woven into its operational model, particularly its focus on seasonal and long-term stays, and its commitment to quality. Unlike transient campgrounds that might offer nightly discounts, PINE LAKES CAMPGROUND's value proposition seems to be centered around providing a stable, high-quality, and community-rich environment for extended periods.
- Competitive Seasonal Rates: While specific figures aren't provided, the consistent loyalty of campers suggests that their seasonal rates are perceived as good value. For campers looking for a consistent spot for their RV or travel trailer throughout the spring, summer, and fall, a seasonal rate is typically a more cost-effective solution than booking individual short-term stays, offering significant savings over time.
- Long-Term Community Benefits: The intangible benefit of becoming part of a close-knit, friendly community is a significant draw that acts as a "promotion" for repeat business. The social connections and shared experiences can be more valuable than a monetary discount for many long-term campers.
- Guaranteed Quality for a Nominal Fee: The small fee for showers that guarantees "clean shower area and guaranteed hot water" can be seen as a value-added service. Instead of a free, potentially unreliable amenity, the transparent fee ensures a high-quality, dependable service, which is a promotion of reliability and comfort.
Since traditional discounts or flash sales are not mentioned, for Ohio locals interested in PINE LAKES CAMPGROUND, the best approach to inquire about pricing, seasonal rates, and any potential value-added services would be to:

Jun 06, 2025 · Ryan Papez (pappy)We had been looking for a permanent campground just after purchasing our first hybrid TT. When my family and I pulled into this campground we just knew this is where we wanted to be. We have camped here for a little over 2 months and love the place. Yes you pay for the shower but for a quarter you get a clean shower area and guaranteed hot water. We love it.
Oct 15, 2020 · Sean HerroonFantastic place to park your trailer permanently! Nice quiet park with very friendly neighbors. We tend to be less social, but there is a ton of things to do if you like the group get togethers. Everybody is easy going and nice. Several nice lakes to fish for fun, a new gorgeous in ground pool, game room for kids, wonderful staff. Bill and Jason are extremely helpful at making your stay go smoothly. You won’t regret it! The laid back atmosphere here is fantastic. We’ve been here a few years and plan on many more.
Jul 24, 2021 · Jamey SlabaughReally beautiful place! We were there 2 years ago. Didn't have a problem. This year check in was great. No problem. As we were leaving, the owner came over and told my husband that he was using too much water to wash out the sewer hose. Said it just cost him $20 worth of water for my husband to wash that hose out. The owner that is. I'm sorry but it did not take no more than a gallon of water to wash that hose out. There is only 30 amp electric and no sewer which is no problem unless the owner decides to harass you. They also don't take debit cards but they will take a check.
Jul 01, 2017 · Jeannie HennigThis is your grandparents' campground! Forget the fancy amenities, get out to the woods. Swimming lake gate was locked when we arrived, but owner said he'd open it if we wanted. I think we were the only people there besides the owner. Bath house is old, but clean. Pay for hot shower - 25 cents for 7 1/2 minutes. Playground, hiking trails, etc. We were there before Labor Day weekend so not much happening, but that’s what we wanted. Quiet!
