Pammel State Park Campground Reviews
Perfect cozy little campground. It's not oversized, and it's quiet. People aren't "partying" they're really camping. The animals come out of the trees and forage dusk and dawn. It's simply beautiful here.
Jul 04, 2025 · Melissa WieseWe've stayed here many times and just love it. The camp hosts are very invested in the beauty of this place. They make sure folks are safe and are following the rules. No more than one vehicle per campsite and no parking on the grass. The place is quiet and party people are not welcome. We just love it.
Sep 24, 2020 · Ryan AlbersFantastic getaway just about 4 mi or so west of Winterset. Tent sites and power and water for your RV. Dump station on site and historic Middle River just down the hill. An excellent place to put in for about an hour and a half to two hour long kayak run.
Jun 01, 2021 · Mike KaldenbergThe surroundings were beautiful, but the hospitality was non-existent. Instructions said to ask the hosts for ice or firewood. They didn't answer the door. A couple had a heated argument late in the evening with lots of screaming 'til the woman screeched away in her car. Bad vibes. Clean bathroom, though.
Oct 10, 2020 · Lauren JohnsonNice little campground, quiet 🤫, nice RV pads, be careful on the signage for sites. Would be 5 if they had more than one shower 1 each for this many sites would be inadequate when park is full.
