Ouray KOA Holiday Reviews
Placed a reservation with this KOA campground. Realized a few hours later I had input the wrong dates. Canceled the reservation completely within their cancellation guidelines but received no confirmation. Called them and left five messages with no return phone call. Finally received the refund minus a cancellation fee for not canceling in the appropriate timeline. I've called them five times since then with promises for them to call me back, nothing.Update: Finally received the promised refund 3 months later.
Jun 14, 2025 · Robert DavisBeautiful and well maintained KOA. Two playgrounds for the kids, a jump pad, gold panning activity, and very clean bathrooms/showers! We loved our camping time here! Close to town with beautiful views all around.
Jun 26, 2025 · Sarah FoxWe didn't end up camping at the KOA but I would have wanted to and definitely will the next time we are out near Ouray! We camped overnight outside of Ouray in the San Juan Mountains and we were in need of a shower. The KOA staff let us shower for $7 per person, which was appropriately priced, in my opinion. Lots of hot water and not timed. There was a beautiful mineral creek running through the camp and underneath the shower building, which was fun to see. We had a little picnic on the playground to let the kids play. Staff were out in golf carts cleaning cabins and looked like they were having a nice day on the job. Very friendly! We will stop again!
Jul 04, 2025 · Erica PolkinghornThe Ouray KOA is a very spacious and green stay in the lovely San Juan mountains. The grass campsites were well maintained, free of ant hills, and offered a level surface with plenty of shade. (Some are in full sun) Restrooms are routinely cleaned and the water pressure/temperature were comfortable. The staff were absolutely amazing & friendly! I would recommend for a quite and family friendly stay.
Jun 15, 2025 · Isabel GonzalezDirty and dusty campsites with only a couple of bathrooms with showers. The laundry had only a few machines working.I think for the price they charge it was a royal rip off! Every site should be perfect for this price! I will never visit a KOA again. They better get with it there is competition that will make them look even worse. The location near Ouray was pretty good. The State campground which is farther away is much nicer!
