What is worth choosing
For Utah residents planning a large-scale outdoor gathering, Old Church Group Campground presents an ideal solution that is well worth choosing over the alternative of trying to book multiple individual sites. The primary and most compelling reason to choose this location is its dedicated purpose: it is built from the ground up to accommodate groups. This means the space is generously proportioned, allowing for a comfortable setup for dozens of people, with room for tents, communal cooking areas, and activity spaces. The frustration of trying to get adjacent individual sites, only to find them separated by other campers, is completely eliminated here. The feedback from real customers, who have had "a great time camping in the group site with our church group," highlights this very benefit—a seamless and enjoyable experience tailored for collective use.
Furthermore, the location within Rockport State Park is a significant advantage. The park offers a wealth of recreational activities right at your doorstep, from water sports on the reservoir to hiking and exploring the scenic surroundings. This provides a built-in itinerary for your group, ensuring there’s always something to do. The availability of clean public restrooms and running water, while seemingly basic, are crucial amenities that elevate the experience from a primitive trip to a comfortable outing. The accessibility features, including wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that no member of your group is left out. The fact that it is managed by the State Park system provides a layer of reliability and ensures the grounds are well-maintained. Ultimately, Old Church Group Campground is the perfect choice for anyone who values ease of planning, dedicated space, and a scenic location for their next group outdoor event. It's a place where the focus is on the people and the experience, making it a valuable resource for the local community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I liked it but there is no way to see inside, other than the picture of the inside on the sign that is outside. Really would have liked to see the inside, even a glimpse!
May 18 · Wayne BurbankWe had a great time camping in the group site with our church group! The site was clean and well maintained! Not the best pictures... we were having too much fun and I forgot to take more.
August 08 · Jill LallissIt was a beautiful little place!
July 19 · Dawn Marie GarrettGiven that I only ever park here to go fishing on the tailwaters, I don't know how good the camping is. But, I can say without reservation that the facilities are maintained at a very acceptable level and the easy access to the river is very hard to beat. Especially if you are lucky enough to snag a spot that is on the eastern edge of the camground.
April 27 · Supper SupperThis is a wonderful campground. I went to the Dam Jam to hear and meet musicians. You can find many shades places. The river is easy to get to and I believe the fishing is good.
