Newberry Campground Reviews
Great location with nice lots, but the public showers and bathrooms are showing their age. It’s hard water so the shower heads need deliming or replacement. And there is only one hook in the shower rooms? The front desk is friendly and helpful. Pool is small, but clean. Lots of open fields.
Jun 25, 2025 · Gerri ThompsonGreat find on our U.P. trip. Wooded park with good sized campsites. Staff was super friendly and facilities were clean. Lots of families having a good time all around. Definitely recommend.
Jul 04, 2025 · Heidi ErdmanGreat location for doing lots of activities. We were within an hour of Kitchitikippi, Pictured Rocks and Tahquamanon Falls. The office staff was friendly, pool is heated and well-cared for, mini golf, & ice cream. We stayed at a w/e site, not level but we had our blocks so not an issue. Dump station easy to get too as well. No complaints and would stay again. There were other comments on the road noise in the am. I have a fan in our camper and maybe heard it a few times but it wasn’t enough to keep me from sleeping or to ruin my day 😊
Jun 28, 2025 · Tracy RiceWe’ve we have been coming up to Newberry Campground since it was KOA in 2016. Mary is awesome. Therlots are all amazing. We’ve stayed in lot 19 for several years. This is our first year with a camper the lot even with our camper is very spacious. the area is great. There’s plenty of things to do going to The waterfalls nearby is beautiful very close to the trailhead to be able to go riding four wheelers and dirt bikes, and side-by-side couldn’t ask for a better place to stay to stay
Jun 16, 2025 · Liz n Charlie King/WardThis is a pretty decent, quiet campground (at least in mid-September). The bathrooms, showers, laundry, and putt putt need some updates— nothing crazy! Deep clean, fresh paint, some new fixtures would do so much for this place. Trash service is great and all the employees were great, too. Downsides are the creepy co-ed showers and laundry area, and the pool was closed even though it was 85° each day we were there.
