Mousetail Campground Reviews
I had a nice time at this camp. All the sites there have a metal picnic table, a nice fire ring. And a pole to hang a light from. My site also had electricity and water. The shower house was very nice and very clean. The rangers there were very nice and helpful. They came by to check on everyone every couple of hours during the severe weather storms my last night there. Definitely one of the better campgrounds that my dog Max and I have stayed at.
Apr 16, 2025 · Jo Ann ButeMousetail Landing State Park in Tennessee was a real pleasant shocker. I got there after I got off of working my mid-day shift at VA Medical Center Memphis so it was well after midnight when I arrived. I recall turning off the main road, onto the Mousetail Landing Road it was Pitch Black Dark. I wound my way down to the main entrance and a bit further to the main parking area where I just shutdown and caught some sleep.I was able to relax and unplug. In hindsight I wished I'd brought my canoe and and Tent. However, I enjoyed my guitar and amp, and Laptop and phone. The bathhouse with hot and cold showers in the main campground. The bathhouse is now seasonally open, and is currently under renovation as of May 3, 2024. The main campground at Mousetail Landing State Park also has a laundromat, dump station, and electricity and water hookups for 19 of the 25 campsites. The primitive campground has port-a-potties. I saw plenty of camping and picnic areas, fishing spots, The Park Ranger was a big help, and useful tips, and historical knowledge. I'm surprised I waited this long to review the visit. 40 hours a week throw in a few projects and years go by so fast...
