Medford / Gold Hill KOA Journey Reviews
Highly recommend (for travelers without kids). Clean and well maintained property. Very generous sized sites with plenty of grassy area/space. Everyone was friendly and respectful. No issues without quiet hours. Doggos loved their stay too. One off leash large dog park next to open grassy field for disc golf and two smaller dog parks next to playground. Clean restroom and shower stalls with security access code for added safety. With one playground and limited lawn games, there are less activity options for children compared to other KOA sites. This also made for a more quiet stay.

Apr 10, 2025 · Robin BakerStayed here going cross country in our RV, not even realizing it was the friday going into Memorial Day weekend. The campground was packed, but very grateful we got a spot for just a night. The staff was friendly, and kudos to them for keeping the bathrooms clean because they were the busiest I’ve seen in all my years of travel! My only complaint is the other campers who were oblivious to quiet hours definitely woke us up a few times throughout the night.
Jun 02, 2025 · Lindsay EdmondsonThe management here is the most unprofessional management I have ever seen!!! The managers are liars. When I first moved in I said I wanted to get help from Access - a community help organization to pay my deposit. I am poor living off of social security disability so I know I would qualify for help. I should have been given a copy of a lease agreement or reservation to take to Access showing the cost of the deposit. Instead I was told to pay the rent and deposit and Access would send KOA a check that would be credited to my account. I went to Access to acquire help and they wouldn't because the deposit was already paid. When I went back to the manager to try and get help as in refund me my deposit and send me a notice for the amount owed to take to Access they refused to help telling me that I would be frauding them. The management are the ones who don't know what they are doing and are committing fraud. Also, before even taking one shower I asked if I could park in an empty camp space next to the showers while taking a shower. I was told that was fine. For six weeks I have been parking in an empty space while I shower. Today out of the blue the manager ripped me a new one for parking there. I told him his wife who is also a manager told me I could. He said notifications have been sent out telling people to park in designated places. I have never received any such message. When his wife was asked about letting me park there she lied with a BRIGHT RED FACE.In my copy of the lease I signed it states no consumption of marijuana is allowed on the KOA premises. However, the managers don't think this applies to them. Every night I can smell them smoking pot and hear them coughing in their little gazebo tent outside the trailer they live in. They are ruining the great KOA name. I have stayed at KOA campgrounds throughout my whole life since the time I was a very young child. I have never had a bad experience! I have always thought of KOA as kid friendly/ family friendly, top notch campgrounds. NOT THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!!!!!! My children shouldn't have to be exposed to other people's drug habits. It ruins the kid friendly/family friendly atmospere and the great KOA name!!!! The managers should be fired. They are extremely unprofessional !!!!!
Feb 16, 2025 · Dallas GeigleHIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wonderful park & the best one in the area! They have full Hookups and can accommodate large RVs daily, weekly, and monthly long-term. They have laundry, propane, showers, pool, simple cabins, two dog parks, kids playground, horse shoes, freebie golf, pool table & a convenient little store with supplies and essentials. The grounds are kept meticulous, and the staff are so friendly and kind! We're full timers and wish we would have found this place much sooner!
