Mardon Resort Reviews
Contrary to the Yahoo/ Google questionnaire, this is not a motel type resort. It is an RV Resort, but it does have cabins to rent besides the RV spaces. Most of the RV spaces are level and spacious. The roads to the RV sites are nice and level and well maintained. Cost is reasonable to stay. The Potholes Reservoir is good fishing. I have heard. The resort does have a boat launch. There is a very good restaurant on-site, as well as a mini golf course. Nearby there are 2 regular courses. On the resort property, there is a full playground, horse shoe pits, and volleyball setup. If I have one concern, it would be the lack of garbage collection bins. It's a good distance for someone with a physical disability. My last concern is something that the resort has very little power over. On our last night there, we were going to leave early the next morning to get ahead of the traffic. People were coming in for the holiday weekend, and they were not polite campers making all kinds of noise during what is normally quiet time. Some people have no respect for others.
May 23, 2025 · Jake RitlandAlways good fishing from the camp ground. Dock is good also. Don't know what to use for bait? Ask the guys at the general store. They are always helpful.
Jun 30, 2025 · David KaiserWe went there over Memorial weekend, haven't been there in 10 years. Omg! That place is nice. I wish you didn't have to reserve two years in advance for spots. We got lucky and got to reserve for next year there was a few vacant spots definitely need a boat and some electric bikes or a golf cart
Jun 08, 2025 · Bela KonyaIf you’re just launching to go fishing I would stay away from Mardons and use the State Park. Mardons Store sold me nightcrawlers that were soft. You’re not allowed to check them yourself. The boat ramp has a very shallow angle to it and it angles away from the dock not very user-friendly. when we were done fishing, I went into the store and asked where the fish cleaning station was, and the clerk behind the desk didn’t seem to think they had one I found out later there is one they just didn’t want us to use it. went over to the state park they have a fish cleaning station and the state needs a real pat on the back because that place is a gem compared to Mardons
Jun 21, 2025 · David PickettThe cabin was outfitted very well and has air-conditioning. The grounds were clean. The staff were excellent and tge restaurant was also good.
