4.0
Stayed last week in the Trappers cabin for 4 nights. Loved every minute. When I called and asked a 1000 questions. I didn't get the vibe that I was an inconvenience. The service let alone from Sunshine made me want to stay. And the amazing service continues with Terry and the husband's. Everyone so friendly. Tons of riding area and over flow parking. Next time we will do by the creek. Just found this place out of luck and it's by far the best campground I have seen. Kiddos also had a blast. Can't wait until next time. Just sucks your booked for the other days I wanted. But I guess other people want to enjoy it to ;) - Kaycee Rice

Location and Accessibility

Lost Moose Campground is conveniently located at 27706 S Latour Creek Rd, Cataldo, ID 83810, USA. This places it approximately 8 miles south of Interstate 90, making it relatively accessible for residents throughout Idaho, particularly those in the northern and panhandle regions, as well as nearby Spokane, Washington. While the final 6 miles to the campground are on a county gravel road that can be a bit bumpy at times, the journey is considered manageable for most vehicles, including RVs, and it ultimately leads you to a wonderfully remote and tranquil setting.

The campground's location is a strategic advantage for outdoor enthusiasts. It’s nestled alongside Latour Creek, providing immediate access to fishing and a place to cool off. Furthermore, it offers direct access to hundreds of miles of primitive roads and trails, perfect for ATV/UTV riding. The Coeur d'Alene River, a popular spot for kayaking and floating, is only 8 miles away. For cyclists, the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes bike trail parking area is also just 8 miles from the campground, at the junction of Latour Creek and I-90. This blend of remote tranquility and proximity to diverse recreational opportunities makes Lost Moose a highly desirable location for Idaho locals.
