Landslide Campground is located approximately "3 miles south on Forest Road 13S09 past Hume Drive" from Hume Lake, with its address listed as Sanger, CA 93657, USA. This places it deep within the Sequoia National Forest, in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. While the address lists Sanger as the city, it serves more as a regional reference point; the campground itself is nestled in a remote, high-elevation area. The elevation of the campground is approximately 5,500 to 6,000 feet, offering a pleasant climate during the summer months.
Access to Landslide Campground involves navigating forest roads. From Highway 180 (Kings Canyon Scenic Byway), you would turn onto Hume Lake Road, pass Hume Lake, and then continue onto Forest Road 13S09. While the path might feel "secluded," indicating unpaved or less-maintained roads in some sections, it is generally accessible for vehicles, including tent trailers, as noted by visitors. It is advisable to drive slowly and cautiously. The journey into the campground offers a gradual transition from main roads to the tranquil, forested environment. This slightly off-the-beaten-path location is precisely what contributes to its "secluded" charm, offering a true escape from crowded areas while still being within reasonable reach for California residents looking for an authentic wilderness experience. Always check current road conditions and potential closures with the Forest Service before your trip, especially outside of peak summer season.

Landslide Campground Reviews
Beautiful spot to camp with friends and family. Our family of 4 was in a tent and our friend's family of 4 were in a tent trailer. Spot 9 is the best spot if you have kids because it has a large space and is right next to the vault toilet (which was kept up pretty nicely). The kids loved exploring the creek that ran through the middle of the campground as well as the large boulders. Great memories made!
