Lancaster / New Holland KOA Journey Reviews
I spent two nights here with my 18-foot travel trailer while visiting Lancaster County. The campground is nestled on the side of a hill, offering a breathtaking pastoral view of the farmland below. The grounds were meticulously maintained, with lush green grass. My campsite was a level gravel area nestled among the trees. While there weren’t many activities to engage in, the view was simply stunning. There weren’t many options for kids, but there was a nice playground. It’s worth noting that many people here had dogs, which is also quite common. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this campground for anyone visiting this beautiful area.
Jun 07, 2025 · Ed TubridyThis campground is Absolutely wonderful! Susan at the front desk is very kind, courteous and goes above and beyond. The whole place is extremely well maintained and the bathrooms/laundry facilities are very clean. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Jun 14, 2025 · Cliff AMy wife and I have stayed here twice now and love it. Very well kept and peaceful. No pool and only a small playground area, but those things don't bother us at all. For first timers I'd recommend either the Executive Row or Countryside View sites, which are tiered into the hillside overlooking the farmlands. There are many other sites hidden in wooded areas to the back of the property which gives a totally different experience depending on what you prefer. We have done Countryside View on both visits and may give the wooded sites a try next time. The campground is about 15 minutes from the towns of Intercourse and Bird in Hand which both have many shops to check out. The Amish bakery that was across the street from the campground unfortunately closed recently due to the owners retiring, which is a bummer. The negatives are minor. Water pressure seems low and inconsistent, an issue we noticed a year prior on first visit and still existed this time. Pressure was low even after many others left at the end of a weekend. It didn't bother us, was just something we noticed. Other thing would be that the fenced dog area in the front of the campground is very small even though there is a lot of space to expand. The dog run area in back of campground is notably larger. Overall we really enjoy staying here and will be back many more times in the future.
Apr 27, 2025 · Steven FarrellI loved my weekend stay. I didn't have a room, I tent camped.. beautiful site. Had a concrete slab with outdoor carpet for my tent, a picnic table and fire pit. The only disappointment was it's no walking trails. I do have a nice game area and pool but it's literally 40° right now. I'm leaving this review so.
Jun 01, 2025 · Stacey BarkerThis campground is well cared for, clean and quiet. The views are outstanding and ideal for a campground located in Amish country. The staff and workers were friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms were immaculate. We will certainly be staying here again!
